French Education in the Bay Area (EFBA) is now accepting enrollment for its after-school classes for the 2017-2018 year!
EFBA is a WASC accredited part time school that offers French classes to French-native (francophone) and non-native (Anglophone) speakers. The classes are geared towards children between the ages of 5 and 11, and take place after normal classes in schools throughout the Bay Area. The French courses are based on age and language level from K to 5th grade.
“The non-profit EFBA’s mission is simple: to furnish a Francophile bilingual and multicultural education, while opening minds towards the world at large.”
Each class focuses on 4 key competences: oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral production and written production. Although there is an academic aim centered around the specific programs. The primary objective is to motivate students to use French based on fun, playful and appealing educational tools.
For children to master the French culture and language, EFBA also offers complementary programs throughout the year such as Summer camps and cultural outings in a complete French immersion.
And last but not least, EFBA is an official test center for all DELF/DALF exams so children’s French can be certified.
