Be a Mega Mayor by mastering city-building technology. Complete engineering challenges to help Earth recover from a calamity!

Mega Mayor (mornings only)

Your child will join a team of city planners, looking to design the best city in the world from the ground up. The best performing team will become Mega Mayors!

Cities are incredible feats of engineering. Giant skyscrapers made of steel and glass soars thousands of feet into the air. Cities began to form when farmers were able to make more food than they could eat, allowing other people to take up trades. Ancient cities were built to bring people together for protection, to promote trade, and improve efficiency. Over time, centralizing government, having art and culture centers, and bringing industries together to improve productivity all became key in development of cities. Your child will explore civil, electrical, industrial, and environmental engineering. They will explore energy production, filtering of water filtration, and building structures.

MinecraftEDU: Travelling to the Future (afternoons only)

Planet Earth has become a fixer-upper - send in the engineers please! This camp will immerse your child in the expansive world of Minecraft, and will challenge student’s ingenuity and problem solving skills as they navigate through several engineering challenges. Your child will learn how to use teamwork and manage resources like an engineer in the real world. Building in MinecraftEDU allows students to experiment with designs and materials, all without the risks associated with building structures in reality.

No previous Minecraft experience is needed. We run our custom worlds on our own server so there is no connection to the internet.
