Coding: Video Game Design and Launch Summer Camp

Run by MakerKids

Tagged in: Kids, Science & Tech, Summer Camps

MakerKids comes to Ottawa!
If you’re looking for inspiring STEM education, this is the right place! In each camp, kids make something awesome, create their own projects and collaborate with others. We aim to create a transformative experience for kids to empower them to be creators, not consumers, find their inner talents and discover skills they can use throughout their lives.

In this program, kids will dive into two coding programs: Stencyl and Scratch.
Kids will gain a comprehensive understanding of game-making. Learning any new language or skill learning to code takes practice, and with video game creation practice is fun. Students will meet other like-minded kids and will be able to collaborate on games together and play together.
Example projects: Multi level games, space, maze and adventure games!
