The Be Your Own Superhero workshop is a 3-hour self defence primer designed to help you understand some key psychological and physical elements that of potentially violent confrontation, and give you the chance to explore some simple but effective strategies to help detect, avoid or escape those situations. We encourage you to discover and test drive the many tools in your self defence toolbox, including mental clarity, trusting your gut, using your voice and physical defence options. There are no fancy techniques in the workshop, just basic tools to give you personal safety options from a variety of situations. All fitness levels are encouraged. This workshop is about finding your voice, claiming safe space and being unapologetically good to yourself. Of course, we have a lot of fun hitting the pads, but we also want to help you reconnect your mind and spirit with your superpowers. An effective self defence course is one of the things every woman should take at least once.
