This camp helps children improve social success with classmates, teachers, friends and family. The class uses a combination of techniques and strategies from Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking curriculums. Children will work on making and keeping friends, perspective taking, flexibility in play, sportsmanship and emotional regulation. They will learn about expected vs. unexpected behavior, matching their behavioral reaction to the situation, expressing their emotions, and using positive social language for play and cooperation.

Children will be taught to not only identify their zones, but also to use tools for switching zones when they find themselves having emotional responses that occur at unexpected or inappropriate times.

Children will work together to solve problems, play cooperative games and build challenging obstacle courses while therapists facilitate interactions using their new skills and tools.
