Standard First Aid is a comprehensive course that demonstrates how to initiate emergency care. This course covers instruction on prevention, recognition and treatment of life-threatening emergencies. The course covers: initial assessment, preventing disease transmission, rescue breathing, choking, major bleeding, unconsciousness, shock and secondary assessment. Injuries due to heat and cold, poisons, medical conditions, bone and joint injuries, head and spinal injuries will also be covered. CPR-C certification is included.
