Young Explorers Workshops - Exploring Game Design

Run by ProjectFUN

Tagged in: Science & Tech, Academics, Arts & Crafts

Games are fun to play, but they’re even more fun to make! In Exploring Game Design, we have created a fun and supportive environment for your child to discover what it takes to create tabletop games and video games. They will discover how game designers use math, science, art, and sound to create engaging player experiences. At the end of the week, your child will take home a board game and a video game of their own creation!

Your child will explore:

The game creation process
Fundamentals of logic and problem solving
How designers use game mechanics to create fun and challenging games

Young Explorers Workshops hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Students should arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to the start of class. There are free optional after-workshop activities most days from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
