Explore a variety of techniques, including throwing, altering, and handbuilding, while giving consideration to both aesthetic principles and creating forms suitable for soda firing. Each student is allotted 2 cu. ft. of kiln space. The 6th session covers glazing, followed by technicians loading and firing the kiln. Students participate in the end of the firing when the soda is introduced. Unloading and critiques take place in the last class. Intermediate to advanced: you must be able to throw an 8' cylinder.
