Judo, 'the way of gentleness', is a modern sport based on Jujitsu, the traditional Japanese art of self-defense. Students develop confidence, coordination, agility, and balance while learning how to defeat a larger and stronger attacker by using that persons own energy and strength against them. Program teaches practical self-defense (not fighting) through fun games, friendly competition, and discipline, as well as escaping, grappling, and throwing techniques from Judo and Jujitsu.
