Bedford (Child) Sports & Fitness - Learn to Sledge

This program gives everyone an opportunity to learn the basics of sledge hockey in a fun, recreational setting. Children with physical challenges are able to learn the sport of sledge with their able bodied friends.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CLASS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BMO CENTRE LOCATED ON GARY MARTIN DRIVE. HAMMONDS PLAINS.
This program is a partnership between Easter Seals NS. and Hrm Community Recreation and Culture, with the support of the IWK Health Centre Pediatric Rehabilitation Services.
All participants will require a hockey helmet with faceguard, a neck guard, elbow pads, hockey gloves or ski mitts/gloves. Parents are responsible to place their child in the sled. Volunteers are present to assist however, if one parent is able to skate then they should accompany their child on the ice. If you are new to this program please contact the Recreation Coordinator at LeBrunCentre before registering .
