2015 Outdoor Movies in Winnipeg

Over the past few years there has been a huge surge in demand for outdoor movies, but who can blame us, what better way to spend a summer evening than taking the big screen outdoors? Luckily for us, some amazing community organizations are providing a great line up movies for summer 2015!

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, dress warm (we may be having a hot summer but the nights still get cool!), and of course don't forget the popcorn. 

Some of these movies come with bonus entertainment features, so it's more than just a typical night at the movies!

Back to the Future Part II

August 17:30pm - Cityplace Parking Lot (Carlton & Graham)

After visiting 2015, Marty McFly must repeat his visit to 1955 to prevent disastrous changes to 1985… without interfering with his first trip.

Parking lot opens at 7:30, movie starts at sundown

Pitch Perfect 2

August 4, at sundown (about 9:00pm) - Memorial Park

After a humiliating command performance at Lincoln Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.

Big Hero 6

August 7, 7:00pm - Assiniboine Park

The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.

A look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife.

In the distant future, a small waste collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

When Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.




Guardians of the Galaxy

A group of intergalactic criminals are forced to work together to stop a fanatical warrior from taking control of the universe.

August 28, 7:00pm - Assiniboine Park

Oh, an alien on the run from his own people, lands on Earth and makes friends with the adventurous Tip, who is on a quest of her own.





Jurassic World

August 29, 7:30pm - Cityplace Parking Lot (Carlton & Graham)

A new theme park is built on the original Jurassic Park. Everything is fine until the newest attraction escapes and goes on a killing spree.

The heck! Memorial Park gets screwed with only 2 movies! Some people can't get to Assiniboine Park and have to work on weekend nights. WTG completely ruining things.

Jeff F - Memorial Park had 2 more movies (Jaws on Aug 11, and Fast & Furious 7 on Aug 18). Just not added to this list, since this site is more focused on "Family-Friendly" events.
