Some fun activities for your kids when school starts back up this fall in Ottawa

Ottawa Swordplay's goal is to research, interpret and train in historical European combat methods as a legitimate martial art, Learn techniques for longsword, rapier, sword and buckler, pollaxe, spear, dagger, grappling, and a uniquely German weapon called a "grossemesser".
Flexible program schedules are offered for adults and children.
Xtreme Trampoline Park
Xtreme Trampoline Park is the place where you can experience off the wall fun for the whole family.
Drop in programs include Open Jump times for all ages, Toddler Time for the little ones and parents, as well as Xtreme Nights on weekends for youth 16+. Fitness programs may be available with sufficient demand.
Ottawa Art Gallery
The OAG hosts a wide variety of talks, workshops and events throughout the year. They also provide educational programs for school groups of all ages, as well as the Creative Sundays drop-in program (October to May) where they invite you to discover the exhibitions, spend time with family and friends, and create your own masterpiece to take home.
Stagecraft Children's Theatre School
Stagecraft Children’s Theatre School has one central aim: to enable all children to experience the fun, excitement, and challenge of performing while developing their own talents, strengths, and qualities in drama, dance and singing. They accept all children, whatever their ability or experience.
Children will look forward to attending each class and to gain a real sense of achievement and excitement from every week.
Spring Action Trampoline
Spring Action offers trampoline classes for all ages and abilities. Focused on FUN, with NCCP certified instructors and top-of the-line equipment, Spring Action is the best place to learn and improve your trampoline skills.
Classes include Junior Jumpers (ages 4-6), Freestyle Jump, and public open jump times. Private lessons, and special needs lessons are also available.
Makin' Moves Children's Dance Theatre
Makin' Moves offers dance programs for kids aged 4 and up. These include the Tender Foot intro movement class for ages 4-7, the Apprentice program, for ages 8-11, and the Aspiring Artist program for ages 12+ for more serious dancers. The Aspiring Artist program offers several performance opportunities and opens the door to further dance education.
Above the Rim Basketball School
Above the Rim's evening programs are comprised of a series of weekly sessions in a variety of locations throughout Ottawa. Students focus one specific basketball skill per session. They go through a number of drills, working on the fundamentals. After going over the "basketball skill of the day" the students play in well-structured and organized scrimmages.
During after-school programs, children engage in exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home things that they have made themselves like model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty, and more!
Bricks 4 Kidz
1-hour after school classes explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts using LEGO® bricks.
Students participate in 4 week sessions focused on exciting themes including Space, Inventions, Famous Buildings, and Natural Disasters. Pre-school classes are also offered.
Tumblers Gymnastics Centre
Gymnastics is one of the greatest activities to include as part of your child’s physical development. At Tumblers, gymnastics is more than just a sport--it is a lifetime activity, with programs offered for everyone from toddlers to adults. Gymnastics promotes fitness, strength, coordination, self-esteem, and most importantly a great deal of fun.
