Join the annual Tree Lighting and official opening night for Christmas in the Park on Friday, November 24. Special guests including Santa himself will help kick things off for the ceremony's 38th year in Downtown San Jose.

The San Jose Harvest Festival is known as the West Coast’s largest indoor arts and crafts show, offering more than 24,000 handmade and embellished gifts. Harvest Festival shoppers can browse thousands of unique items, including original art, photography, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, toys, home décor and much more.
There will be live music and entertainment from Le Jazz Hot Quartet and comedian John Park performing his “Funny Waiter” show. There will also be strolling entertainers such as Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf, as well as a free Child ID service and hands-on KidZone hosted by CD’s Kids Art Studio.

San Jose Made returns to Whole Foods Silicon Valley for the 2017 Fall Series of its weekly Saturday Craft Markets. Every Saturday will bring San Jose and Silicon Valley's finest local makers--some of whom you know and already love as well as some of whom will be new with locally made goods ready to be loved.

In this drop-in workshop, experiment with collagraph, a fun and simple printmaking technique that incorporates collage. Design a striking, monochromatic composition inspired by the work featured in Louise Nevelson: The Fourth Dimension using a variety of materials and shapes. All materials are provided. A Holiday Show with Circus, Dance, and Live Music. Starring Cirque du Soleil soloists Jeff Raz and Diane Wasnak, JOY! is a dazzling extravaganza for the whole family. This magical madcap holiday circus is set to the Candy Land-flavored live music of award-winning a cappella group SoVoSó and features world-class acrobats, dancers, and circus.

San Jose’s longest-running production of The Nutcracker will capture your imagination and transport you to a magical world of brave toy soldiers and dancing snowflakes.
Follow Clara as she embarks on her journey filled with colorful characters, breathtaking costumes, majestic scenery and a Christmas tree that reaches the sky.
December 1 at the Quinlan Community Center
Begin the holiday season with Cupertino's Tree Lighting Ceremony at Quinlan Community Center. The evening will include a countdown to light the tree, music, refreshments, and a special visit from a friend who lives in the North Pole! Admission is free, but bring a non-perishable canned good that will be donated to West Valley Community Services. Dress warm, as part of the event takes place outdoors.
December 2 at History Park
Get in the yuletide spirit and celebrate the holidays strolling through History Park, listening to the sounds of carolers, ride the trolley, and visit with Santa - who will be on-hand for photo opportunities!
December 5-30 at Vasona Park
Fantasy of Lights is a spectacular 1.5 mile drive- through extravaganza of Holiday Lights and Displays for the entire family. Enjoy a magical evening in the warmth of your vehicle as you drive through large animated displays while listening to Holiday music on your car radio. See the sights and sounds of an erupting volcano in the dangerously fun Dinosaur Den, cheer on Santa shooting hoops, wave at a pen of playful penguins, watch blazing Pirate Cannons and sail through tunnels of moving lights.
December 2, 16 (multiple shows), at the Fujitsu Planetarium
This highly popular laser show features a mix of everyone's favorite holiday music, and gives new meaning to the term "holiday lights". Show contains the holiday music selections such as: Joy to the World - Manheim Steamroller, Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms, White Christmas - Bing Crosby, Snow Miser - Nick at Night, Rockin‘ Round the Christmas Tree - Ronnie Lane/Darlene Love, and more.
December 3 at the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose
Dreidels, donuts, and singing with the Yavneh Day School: these are just a few of the fun activities you will enjoy at Menorahs and Miracles, a Hanukkah Celebration. Join us and have fun honoring and sharing your own culture, or discovering the celebrations of your neighbors.
December 3 at the California Theatre
This concert is a wonderful way for the community to come together to celebrate and enjoy the musical gifts and hard work of our singers – from the youngest third grader to our most experienced high school seniors. This year's concert will feature Cantabile's Intermediate, Ensemble, Vocalise, Bravi, VTG and Aria choirs. Special guest artists, the SF Panhandlers under the direction of Jim Munzenrider will join on steel drums for Glenn McClure's lively Caribbean Mass.
December 9-10 at Apostles Lutheran Church
Walk with Shepherds, Hear the Angelic Choir, and Praise the Savior! This year there will be an expanded city of Bethlehem with people in costume, live animals for the children to pet, a special Christmas Tree Display, and refreshments.
December 16 at the Montgomery Theater
Kellan D. Baker recreates the roles of Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and a host of supporting characters in this solo tour de force — infusing tragedy, pathos, humor and fun into the beloved Dickens story of redemption and hope.
