We've compiled a list of the most fun summer camps for kids of all ages in Austin - check it out! 



Camp DoubleCreek

This was a no-brainer. Camp DoubleCreek has hosted Austin's best day camp since 1971. They have every activity you could think of, from swimming and mini golf to tennis and horseback riding! 

With plenty of options, your child is guaranteed to have an amazing week during one of their many themed camps.

Mad Science of Austin 

Summer camps at Mad Science are the perfect blend of entertainment and education. They combine hands-on lab time, outdoor games and exploration, as well as the application of scientific principles. 

Their summer science camps will engage and expand your child's mind, as well as offering a big dose of fun! Camps are in various themes and are geared to specific age groups. 



Austin Girls Choir

Your daughter will love showcasing her love for singing during summer camp at Austin Girls Choir. The music menu ranges from Lorde to light classics. Campers are introduced to vocal skills, note reading, basic harmony and fun songs with simple choreography. Other camp activities will include stage presentation, arts and crafts, and a few surprises!  




First Tee of Greater Austin

The First Tee Life Skills ExperienceTM is divided into five levels, starting with PLAYer for new participants ages 7 and up, progressing through Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace. As participants certify in both golf and life skills within each level, they progress to the next level of the program. Each level of the Life Skills Experience is seamlessly integrated with our golf skills programming.

Synergy Dance Studio

Synergy Dance Studio combines the passion for education, performance and competition and creates well-rounded dancers with a love for dance. They offer camps for pre-school and school-aged kids. 

Synergy's summer camps have the coolest themes. This year features Frozen, Under the Sea, Taylor Swift, Wanna be a Pop STAR, and many more!

Austin Aquarium

The Aquarium runs two awesome summer camps: Stingray Camp and Shark Camp. Campers will experience hands-on learning with a member of their animal husbandry team. 

Their camps are perfect for aspiring marine biologists who are interested in learning about what it takes to care for exotic sea creatures. 



Camp on the Move

An idea can happen anywhere and it just so happened that the concept for Camp on the Move was developed in a charter bus on a field trip with middle schoolers!

They realize how important an active summer is to all children and encouraging physical activity is their missing. Every day is a field trip - no more hanging around inside all day!

 



The Art Garage

The Art Garage in Austin teaches real art curriculum taught by certified art teachers in a positive, encouraging and engaging environment. It will be the most creative and fulfilling week of your child's life!

Kids can choose from Ninja Turtles, Frozen, Safari, and many more themes! (Or choose them all, why not!)




Bricks 4 Kidz

Bricks 4 Kidz summer programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students and adults to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun using LEGO® Bricks.  

The suitable age range for the summer camps though are for children aged 5 to 10. 

Camps are available at a multiple locations across Austin. 



Anderson Mill Limited District

Anderson Mill provides awesome summer camps for kids aged 5-12. All camps run out of AMLD Community Center. Kids can choose from a variety of camp themes such as wet 'n wild, sports, and myths & legends. Your child will have an awesome week in this well-rounded and fun camp!





Engineering for Kids

Engineering for Kids brings the wonder and excitement of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to children through hands-on learning experiences. 

Their camps and classes bring awareness to children about the work that engineers do to develop the technologies that our society relies on - from computers to scissors and even running water! Kids can expect an engaging and fun-filled day during one of their many themed camps. 



Canyon Lake Divers

It's a little out of Austin (~1 hour), but this camp is well worth the drive! They have an exciting 5 day camp planned for your little diver. Activities include Scuba Diving Instruction that leads your young diver to full PADI Scuba Diver Certification, games, races, assembly and dives on artificial reef systems, platforms, Deep Space 6 space station with solar panel array , wreck dives, river dives and a whole lot more.

A lot of these are really cool themed camps. My little brother in law would love engineering for kids. When I was a kid, I would have been more into the Camp DoubleCreek style of camp. I didn't want to learn, I just wanted to play.
