Top Summer Camps in Sacramento


Here are our favorite summer camps in the Sacramento area, each offering fun activities for your kids:


Crocker Art Museum

Crocker Art Museum was established in 1885 and is now one of the leading art museums in California. The Crocker’s mission is to promote an awareness of and enthusiasm for the visual arts.

They offer several camps for kids aged 5 to 17 this year, in age-appropriate groups.




Tokon Martial Arts

The Tokon Martial Arts activity camps in Natomas follow the same concept of introducing children to a wide range of fun activities such as athletics, martial arts, crafting and gymnastic, all in a fun and positive manner.

The staff encourages healthy habits, improve focus, discipline, confidence, body posture, physical and mental strength as well as overall health and fitness. Train with the best as Sensei Marcus is not only a former successful competitor, but has coached national and international champions. Get your child bully-proofed while having fun!


Sierra Mountain Music Camp

Sierra Mountain Music Camp began as an effort to boost school music programs and provide a unique experience in a beautiful environment, with dedicated directors and staff. The founders, Gus and Peggy Noland, made a spiritual commitment to organize a summertime choral camp and from the beginning.

As the camp has grown, the camp has expanded its scope well past singing--other camp activities include games, campfire night, skits, zip lining, talent shows, swimming, sports, archery, arts & crafts, and rock climbing.


Camp Pendola

Camp Pendola is a second home for so many kids and young adults during the summer months. A variety of camp schedules are available for different age groups. A new addition for 2015 is are the Mom & Me and Dad & Me overnight camps at their new site in Colfax.

The Camp Pendola site has been home for the Diocese of Sacramento's summer camp program for our 55th year. Make friendships that last a lifetime, live in the great outdoors, and celebrate summer!


Casa de Espanol

Casa de Espanol camps have been designed with age appropriate activities to help develop students’ language skills by stimulating their mind and body. The instructors use traditional rhymes, art, music and play to activate imaginations and teach students how to appreciate the Spanish language and its many cultures.

Morning and afternoon activities are different, so students can choose to stay all day if they wish. Also, a light healthy snack is provided for all students. Students who choose the all-day option must bring their own lunch.


Fairytale Town FunCamps

Fairytale Town offers 16 exciting and educational camps during the summer.

Each week-long camp features a unique theme, including visual and theater arts, literature, puppetry, animals, gardening and more!

Camps are scheduled for 9:00-12:00 (for ages 4-6) and 1:00-4:00 (for ages 7-9) from June through August.



The Bounce Spot

The Bounce Spot’s Camp is a fun-filled day camp for children registered in Kindergarten thru 8th Grade. Their focus is Fun & Fitness, with a touch of education. Your child's day will be packed with interesting activities to keep them productive and happy during their school break.

The attentive staff will create a safe, fun and creative experience for your child. Activities include many field trips: swimming, water play, BBQ's, bowling, rock climbing and more... Each day will include a different event or activity. 


ID Tech Camp

Gain a competitive edge for college at iD Tech's summer day camps and overnight camps. Co-ed programs include iD Tech Camps for ages 7-17, iD Tech Academies for teens ages 13-18, and iD Tech Mini for ages 6-9. They also offer Alexa Café, an all-girls program for ages 10-15. Do something BIG this summer—develop iPhone and Android™ apps, program with C++ and Java™, design and create video games, develop websites, produce movies, build robots, and more. Their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs are offered at at Sac State.


Aerospace Camp

This exciting aerospace adventure camp is for students ages 13-17.

These camps are held in four-day sessions from June through August from 9:00-4:00 at the Aerospace Museum of California.

Each student will learn plenty about aviation, and also have the chance to take a short flight with a registered pilot!



The Discovery Museum Space & Science Center - Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery combines innovative science projects, creativity challenges, outdoor games and, of course, FUN!  The curriculum revolves around central themes such as space, nature, and general science.

Space, Science, and Engineering camps are offered in 1-week sessions. With the exception of half-day Little Scientists camps for kids aged 5-6, all camps for kids aged 7-8, and 9-11 are full-day camps.
