Lake Nixon Summer Day Camp

Lake Nixon is that special place that offers a summer of fun and a lifetime of memories!

The 240-acre camp facilities are owned and operated by Second Baptist Church in downtown Little Rock, are located approximately 1.5 miles west of Interstate 430 in West Little Rock on Cooper Orbit Road.

Registration is open until May 1st unless camp is already full.

Little Rock Zoo

Explore, play, and solve mysteries at Little Rock Zoo's Summer Zoofari day camps!  Every child loves animals! 

Camps take place Mondays through Wednesday mornings 9:00-12:00 in June and July, and are ideal for kids aged 5 through 12.

Campers will be divided by age group.

Museum of Discovery

A variety of weekly Discovery Camps are offered at the Museum of Discovery.  

Camp themes include Cinema Science, Amusement Park Engineering, Junior Zoologist and STEAMpunk, Science Sampler Week, Fire & Ice, and LEGO Master.

All camps run from 8:00-5:00.  Ideal for age groups 6-8 and 9-13.

Little Rock Climbing Center

Summer Climbing Camps at the Little Rock Climbing Center are the perfect opportunity for kids aged 7-15 to learn the basics of indoor rock climbing in a safe and controlled environment.

Camps are divided by age group and ability.  Weekly sessions run from 9-12 AM from mid-June to early August.

River City Gymnastics

River City Gymnastics' mission is to develop happy, healthy, responsible children who value exercise, and to help them fulfill their gymnastics potential in a positive and safe environment while challenging them to be the best they can be! 

Their competitive teams rank among the top in the state, year after year, and has been known to produce National and Olympic hopefuls.  But first and foremost, they have FUN!

Camp Aldersgate

Camp Aldersgate’s Summer Camps serve children with medical, physical and developmental needs. They offer traditional camp activities such as campfires, singing, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts. Other activities include accessible challenge ropes course and carousel, adapted archery and SCUBA diving. Parents continually report increased independence, self-esteem, and social interactions following a week at camp.

Campers stay overnight from Sunday to Friday and are provided the highest quality of care by counselors, staff, volunteers, nurses and volunteer physicians.

Little Rock Christian Academy

Among Little Rock Christian Academy's many summer programs is Kanakuk Kampout! KampOut! is a non-denominational Christian camp that provides high energy, non-stop excitement. Kids will have a blast flying down the zipline, scaling the climbing wall, bouncing in the incredible inflatables, and laughing at crazy skits!

Camps are offered in 1, 2, or 4-week sessions, for kids aged 6-18.  

Aside from Kanakuk Kampout, several sports camps are offered for kids entering 1st through 8th grade.

Camp Solgohachia

Camp Solgohachia offers 4 different Christian camps to best suit you. Overnight camps (for kids who have completed 3rd through 8th grades); day camps (for kids who have completed 2nd through 7th grades); Camp in the City week (at the Morrilon City Park); and the Labor Day Family Camp (for the whole family).

Some of the favorite activities at Camp Solgohachia are go carts, the zip line, archery, riflery, adventureland, water sports, and arts & crafts at the Creation Station.

Ferncliff Camp    

From late May to late July over 1000 youth K-12 participate in more than 30 camps designed around having fun and growing their faith. Activities include hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, large group games, sand volleyball, mountain biking, mountain boarding, crafts, large group worship, small group Bible study, games, orienteering, campfires and special events.

In addition to the broad range of age-appropriate overnight camps for kids from 1st through 12th grade, Ferncliff also offers day camps and family camps for all ages.

Spirited Art

Spirited Art offers four different camps, each of which include snacks and a Spirited Art t-shirt!

Camp levels are: Matisse (four 2-hour sessions for ages 5-8), Van Gogh (three 3.5 hour sessions for ages 7-12), O’Keeffe (same as Van Gogh, but for girls only), and Santa's Workshop (four 2 hour sessions for ages 5 and up)... Yes, Santa's Workshop is indeed a summer camp!

Courtesy First Etiquette & Character Camp

Highlights include: camp is for children ages 5-16 where they learn the 65 table manners, go through a 5 course meal, tech-etiquette, church and theater etiquette and more. The camp aims to teach civility and respect through teaching manners and character. The kids always have a good time, in fact, even the boys enjoy learning about tea and dinner etiquette. Ellianna Temple, Courtesy Coach, has her masters in education and leads the camp.
