VBGA camps at VanDusen Botanical Garden are immensely popular and often sell out very quickly. A carefully crafted blend of science, exploration, games and crafts give children the opportunity to learn and play throughout the beauty of the Garden and the Conservatory, while fostering positive stewardship of the environment. Days are spent mostly outdoors, but may also include time in the classroom in the Visitor Centre, glasshouse or Bloedel Conservatory.
High Performance Hockey camps take place at the Richmond Oval. Camps target rep level players to develop their skills with a low coach:player ratio for on-ice sessions. Off-ice strength and conditioning sessions complement on-ice activities, helping to physically prepare all players for the upcoming season. Mental performance, nutrition, recovery and regeneration, speed work and performance testing education is included prepare athletes to compete at the provincial, college and national level.
Simon Fraser University offers an array of sport, educational, and recreational summer camps for kids. Camps are instructed by varsity athletes and highly regarded staff.
Camp options include: swimming, leadership training, mini-university, movie-making, scuba diving, outdoor adventures, and so many more. Kids will enjoy a week jam-packed with fun, adventure, and a free t-shirt! Registration open.
Staccato Music Studios' Rockstarz Camp, is an opportunity for kids ages 10 and up to play in a band this summer! Students will be taught the basics of jamming while learning fundamentals such as chording, drumming, and singing. Students will jam on popular rock tunes. The week ends with a recording session and a personalized CD! Students must have at least 2 years of training on their specific instrument.
CircusWest offers children, teens, and adults an opportunity to explore Circus Arts in an encouraging, non-competitive environment. CircusWest’s programs encourage respect for oneself and others and provide an environment to learn responsible risk-taking. As a collaborative community in which everyone can develop skills, find their artistic voice, and realize their potential, CircusWest is a creative space where individuals can dream big, push limits, and defy gravity – all while having fun.
During each course, students will create beautiful and dynamic projects that enhance one’s ability, confidence, and enthusiasm for art. Art Mania programs include age appropriate history lessons along with great activities.

Vancouver Diving Locker’s Kids Scuba Camp is designed to introduce scuba diving to young people, in a safe and fun atmosphere. During each one week camp (5 Days Total), students will partake in 5 classroom sessions, and 5 pool diving sessions.
For more experienced divers, several other courses are available throughout the summer.
Gateway Theatre Academy offers summer camps in acting, musical theatre, and technical training classes for youth aged 8 – 18. Professional actors, directors, playwrights and choreographers instruct our classes, giving students practical, real world skills.

Windsure offers exciting water-based summer camps in skimboarding, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and stand up paddle surfing (SUP).

Campers should be at least 12 years old and weigh 80lbs (36kg) at minimum.

My children have done the Eco Adventure camp at Mount Seymour in previous years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it.
This is a great list! This came at a perfect time as my wife and I are looking into summer camps for our son.
