Looking for spooky Halloween events? Well you've come to the right place! Halloween is creeping up on us and ChatterBlock has a list of events and activities to get you into the spirit for thrills and chills.  

Here’s a list of our favourite Halloween events in Edmonton this 2016.

Hallowe'en Howl Family Fun Night

Join us in your best costume for our FREE Halloween Howl Bonfire. Go on a haunted scavenger hunt, tell spooky stories, and play ghostly games. Make sure to come dressed up and bring a chair and reusable mug for some hair-raising hot chocolate. All activities will be appropriate for a family audience of ages 2 and above.

John Janzen Nature Centre 

A Ghostly Walk Through Old Strathcona

Bring the whole family out to A Ghostly Walk Through Old Strathcona for a haunted walking tour. Your kids will be able to check out various shops and buildings that have been reported to have ghosts in them! Tours are hosted by veterans story tellers, with over 12 years of experience. So, you are guaranteed to have a good time.

Deadmonton Haunted House

If you thought walking through Deadmonton Haunted House was scary, try walking through with the lights off. Our Flashlight Only Event is on November 4th and 5th only. The lights will be shut off and each group will only get one flash light as they walk through. Flashlights will be supplied. However, starting September 30th through the 5th of November Deadmonton Haunted House will be open to the public. Times vary depending on the day for the week, so see schedule for details. 

Sept 30 - Nov 5th, 2016  7pm start.

Haunted Pumpkin Festival

Attention families! If you are looking for an autumn outing that is full of charming month-long Halloween activities the Haunted Pumpkin Festival is a safe bet.Over 1 million guests have been to the farm since 1956! So, obviously the mega maze, puppet show, pumpkin cannon, magic shows and drumming circles are worth the visit.

Spooktacular 

Get ready to have a scary good time at the kid-friendly Spooktacular - Welcome to the dark side of the 19th century. It is not the dead you need to be afraid of, it is the living. How far will your courage take you? The spook escalates as you go so don’t go far…

Halloween Cake Decorating

Come Halloween Cake Decorating if you dare … Bring your kids of to the Cooking School to create their very own spooky Halloween cake. All gruesome guests will enjoy some Halloween Punch and treats from the graveyard. (Children 3 – 11 are welcome. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult) $15.00/child (one child per cake)

Please be advised that our Cooking Schools are not allergy-free zones.

Boo at the Zoo

Lions and tigers and zoo animals - oh my! Wear your coolest costume and bring your environmentally friendly trick or treat bags while you “Get Closer” to the wonders of the animal kingdom at Boo at the Zoo. Hands-on science experiments, crafts, extinct animal graveyards, and a Witch's Den are just some of the activities that will make Boo at the Zoo one of your Halloween traditions!

Night of Fear Festival 2016

Are you a big kid wanting a great scare? Then, this is the night for you! Come check out the Headless Terror Illusion at the Night of Fear Festival, or brave our insane 900 square foot haunted house. Take a moonlight stroll through the outdoor graveyard. Or, why not come on Saturday to trick or treat, join in on the scavenger hunt, or decorate a killer pumpkin.
