Yes, summer may have just started so thinking about back to school isn't always on the top of our mind, but in reality it’s exactly the time to start planning the little one’s after-school lineup! Almost all dance studios have already opened registration for the September semester.

Not to worry- Here’s a little glimpse at some of the amazing dance classes for kids in Metro Vancouver.

Whether you have a toddler or teen, first-time dancer or aspiring professional, Vancouver has dance classes for all ages and skill levels, it's just about finding the right fit for you.

1. Boogaloo Academy

With a huge range in dance styles, students at Boogaloo Academy can choose from Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, to Hip Hop, Break Dance, Popping, Hip Hop Contemporary and Street Jazz. 2. GOH Ballet Academy

The core mission of the Goh Ballet Academy? Nurturing and cultivating this physical and emotional communication through participation in dance. The Goh Ballet Junior School provides comprehensive classical ballet education along with classes in other dance disciplines for students aged 4 and up. 3. Place des Arts

Place des Arts offers session (fall, winter & spring) and September to June dance classes in ballet, acrobatic dance, lyrical dance, jazz dance, hip hop, contemporary dance and tap dance to children and teens, from recreational to pre-professional training. 4. Arts Umbrella

Arts Umbrella's dance program is internationally recognized for producing highly employable graduates who are dancing in companies around the world. Harbour Dance is truly at the centre of Vancouver’s dance scene. Here, you'll find high quality Ballet, Creative Movement and Art classes specialized for children from 2 to 9 years old. 8. The Landing Dance Centre

As a central resource for the Vancouver dance community, The Landing Dance Center enables young dancers to train alongside working dance professionals and choreographers to collaborate on diverse and innovative dance projects in a supportive and creative environment. The Landing Dance Centre was established in August 2008 by professional dance artist Brenna McLaud. Her vision is to provide a safe, creative and non-judgmental environment for young aspiring dancers and community artists to train, perform and choreograph in.
