It’s time to celebrate Independence Day! Are you ready to have fun with your kids and celebrate America?

There’s lots of family-friendly events happening around the area this year, so we decided to help you out and put together a guide to the best July 4th fireworks in Lexington, as well as other great celebrations and activities that you can enjoy with your family this Independence Day!

July 4th Lexingon Fireworks, Festivities, and Parades

Lexington 2014 Fourth of July Festival

Celebrate Independence Day in downtown Lexington at the 2014 Fourth of July Festival. The day will be filled with various activities, including a street festival, the Bluegrass 10K, a grand parade, and of course a fireworks extravaganza. Festivities will begin on July 2 and will end on Independence Day. Come and join the festive celebrations!

Scott County’s Annual 4th of July Parade

Scott County’s Annual 4th of July Parade begins 11 a.m. on Main Street in historic downtown Georgetown. This year’s theme is “Only in America.” Fireworks will be at Brooking Park.

Kentucky Horse Park July 4th Celebration

Campers will enjoy a whole weekend of fun and activities from Friday to Sunday  of Kentucky Horse Park’s July 4th Celebration.

Military Missions July 4th Fundraiser with Saul Good

All Saul Good Restaurant & Pub locations will be running a July 4th fundraiser, where they will offer half price deals on all food as an incentive to generate donations for Military Missions, Inc. Military Missions, Inc. is a non profit organization dedicated to providing care packages and support for every Kentucky soldier deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations
