The weather is getting rather frosty but not all is lost, it’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate and enjoy all sorts of community traditions and festivities with your family! Here’s a list of some of the best Christmas events Saskatoon has to offer!

Festival of Trees: Nov 23 – 29
Feast your eyes at the amazing Festival of Trees event! There will be up to 75 decorated Christmas trees and displays featured; creations from cottages to castles; recyclable trees & wreaths – ‘Green’ creations made by community and school groups; entertainment - entertainers of all kinds perform throughout the day and evening; once upon a storytime – interactive storytelling will entertain the kids and parents too; and special events – each evening from Galas to Elvis cabarets, there is an event for all styles. This year will be photos with everyone's favourites: Olaf, Elsa, and Anna! Open daily Nov 23-29, 9 am-9 pm.
Enchanted Forest Holiday Light Tour: Nov 22- Jan 10
One of the most spectacular drive-through Christmas displays in all of Canada is right here in Saskatoon. The Enchanted Forest Holiday Light Tour will take you through 75 custom displays throughout the forest to make for a magical evening for the entire family. You can even book a horse drawn wagon (holds up to 14 people) to take you on the tour, now that's cool. Every night at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo, from 5:30pm-11pm.
It's A Wonderful Life: Nov 26- Dec 21
One of the most beloved and enduring films of all time will be coming to life on stage at Persephone Theatre. If you haven't seen this classic, It's A Wonderful Life is about George Bailey who is facing financial adversity, in his moment of greatest despair, he is saved by a guardian angel named Clarence Oddbody. Shows are nightly at 8pm, with Sunday matinees at 2pm.
Sing Choirs of Angels: Nov 28-29
The annual Christmas concert of the Saskatoon Children's Choir with guest musicians will be back this year! Listen to the sounds of Christmas sung by a choir with an international reputation for artistic excellence. Sing Choirs of Angels will be at Knox United Church on the 28th and 29th of November at 7:30pm.
Broadway Spirit of Christmas: Nov 29
Braodway Spirit of Christmas event (on Broadway Ave) will be sure to get you in the Holiday spirit! On top of the many many discounts to be offered (Santa and Mrs. Claus will be walking around with a bag full of Jingle Bucks and gifts) there will be carols along the street as you shop. Nov 29, Noon- 4pm.
Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite: Nov 30
Max & Ruby’s adventure, guided by the classic notes of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, is full of delectable dance and holiday magic perfect for the whole family. This will bring to life a wonderful tradition this holiday season, and the bunny siblings bring their most magical performance yet! November 30th at 1pm at TCU Place.
The Huron Carol: Dec 17
Christmas is a wonderful time of peace, harmony, optimism, and good will towards others. So it is in that spirit that the annual Huron Carole concert series returns this year with its national tour to help raise funds and awareness for Canada’s hungry. With over 18 stops throughout the country and an assortment of high quality musical talent including George Canyon, One More Girl, Beverley Mahood and Shannon Gaye, founder Tom Jackson’s call to end hunger is ready to be heard once again in Saskatoon!
