Spring Break Camps in Edmonton

The snow is melting, the flowers are blossoming, the birds are chirping… Spring is near! (We hope). No matter the weather, Spring Break is on it’s way so ChatterBlock has found some amazing camps and classes to keep your child busy. Ranging from adventures, playtime, crafts, and educational activities, we have something for all ages and interests! Camps are such a fantastic way for your kids to have fun while participating in enriching activities, and of course making some new friends along the way.

Some of our favourite Spring Break Camps in Edmonton:

WEM Spring Adventure Camp at Marine Life (Ages 6-12)

Offered through the popular Marine Life attraction, WEM Adventure Camp is a fun-filled and educational way for your kids spend their days! They will have the chance to have enriching animal interactions and visit the many West Edmonton Mall attractions. Camp is open from March 31st- April 4th.

Bennett Centre’s Young Writers’ Camp (Ages 9-15)

Partnered with YouthWrite, these are inclusive, secular, multi-disciplinary writing camps that offers young writers the chance to work with superbly talented instructors from many facets of the performing, visual, musical, dance, film, and written arts. Where do they find their story ideas? How do they develop that idea into a book? How do you know whether to write fiction or nonfiction? Students are engaged by 4 different presenters (published authors and an illustrator) to answer these questions and more. Various camps our offered from March 31st – April 3rd.

Zoo Kids Camp (Ages 9-12) & Monkey Troop Camp (Ages 6-8)

The Edmonton Valley Zoo has some spring break daycamps filled with zoo-riffic fun and games! There will be animal encounters, crafts, enrichments and more in the Monkey Troop Camp. And for the Zoo Kids Camp for the older kids there will also be a Takin Treasure Hung for solving a Zoo-dunnit Mystery, and some Zoo-mazing Challenges! Both camps are offered March 31st- April 4th from 9- 4pm. $195.

Edmonton Explorers Spring Break Daycamp (Ages 6-10)

Have your little ones experience the highlights from all the favourite camps at Fort Edmonton Park, jam-packed into one week! Get a taste of voyageur life by hunting for furs in the Fort and cooking bannock over an open fire. Make your own toys from scratch and play like pioneers did. Use your detective skills to solve a history mystery, and celebrate on the last day with tasty treats baked over our wood burning stove! For kids ages 6-10, March 31st- April 4th from 9- 4pm. $230.

Crock A Doodle Spring Break Classes (Ages 7+)

Crock A Doodle located in Spruce Grove is offering some creative hands-on fun in their Spring Break kid’s classes! Kids can paint and play with friends, learning exciting new projects every day. Different Kid’s Glass Fusing Classes will be offered each day April 1st- 4th which run 1-2:30pm. Classes are $25/class and includes project, snack & instruction, suitable for ages 7+. They also have daily Pottery Painting Classes 10:30-noon for ages 5+. Pre-registration required for classes, but you’re always welcome to drop-in painting all day!

Jr. Rangers Spring Break Camp (Ages 5-8)

Do you have what it takes to be a River Valley Jr. Ranger? Develop camping and wilderness survival skills like outdoor cooking, fire making, and shelter building, along with endless activities, wide games and crafts. Bring layers of clothing & extra snacks! We spend most of the time outside. March 31st- April 4th from 9- 4pm. $225.

The Mystery is in the Paint! Spring Break Art Camp (ages 6-12)

Glazing Pot Studio has just the thing to keep your kids’ afternoons busy! Let their imaginations run wild because each afternoon is a different is a different theme where they will complete at least 2 amazing projects. Join in on some pottery painting fun, fusing glass, and playing with clay! April 1st- April 4th from 1- 4pm. $40/afternoon or $120 for the week.

Mud Puddlers Camp (Ages 4-5)

As the snow melts, wear your boots and look for the first spring puddles in the Mud Puddlers Camp! Visit a couple of baby spring animals and create a bundle of springtime crafts. Make a bag of nesting material to hang out for the birds in your backyard, and go on a nature hunt for creatures just waking up from their winter sleep. At the end of the week, we’ll enjoy a puppet show performance of “Chicken Little”, and make our own hand puppets to take home. March 31st- April 4th from 9- 4pm. $125.

The Amazing Race (Ages 6-12)

What a fun adventure! In The Amazing Race Camp your kids will work together in small groups to conquer challenges and overcome road blocks. These adventures will increase skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, and personal growth. Teams will accumulate points throughout the week leading up to the final leg of the race. The last day will begin with your final test and wrap up with a picnic in the park. Swimming will take place every afternoon, excluding Friday! Takes place in multiple different locations, March 31st- April 4th from 9- 4pm. $200.
