Fourth on the Field

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Fourth on the Field celebration! Come out and celebrate the birth of the nation, while bringing back the feel of a neighborhood block party with local food trucks lining the warning track, interactive games on the field, a kids area with fun games, inflatables for all ages, and live music from Nunchuck Taylor! To cap the night, bring your blankets and grab a spot on the field as they present a spectacular show in the sky with fireworks synced to America’s favorite patriotic music. Be prepared for a bigger, better, and longer show than last year!

14th Annual Arden Arcade Spirit of Freedom Parade

The 14th Annual Arden Arcade Spirit of Freedom Parade will travel South on Fulton Avenue, West on Cottage Way, and North on Bell Street into Howe Park, totalling 1.4 miles. Immediately following the parade, there will be an awards ceremony at the park, along with informational booths, family activities, and free food.

Creekside 4th of July BBQ

Join the community of Creekside for the annual 4th of July Creekside BBQ! There will water-slide, food, and firetruck! Bring a side dish or dessert to share with all. Don’t forget your lawn chairs, sun chairs, sodas/waters, and fireworks. Have the little ones wear their swimsuits!

Roseville 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day in downtown Roseville with a fun run, a parade, carnival games, bounce houses, food vendors, and music by the Capitol Pops Concert Band.

Finish your day of celebration at the Placer County Fairgrounds for fireworks. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at approximately 9:30 p.m. No alcohol, glass containers, barbecues or personal fireworks permitted. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the fairgrounds. $5 fairgrounds parking fee.

Carmichael’s 4th of July Celebration

Start your 4th of July off right with a pancake breakfast at Carmichael’s 4th of July Celebration. Then find a seat for the 56th Annual Carmichael Elk’s Club Parade. Following the parade, kids can enjoy activities like inflatables, arts, crafts and a puppet theater. The day will culminate with the fireworks show at dusk.

Elk Grove Salute to the Red, White & Blue

This year, the City of Elk Grove is hosting the 18th Annual A Salute to the Red, White and Blue fireworks show at the Elk Grove Regional Park. This event is Elk Grove’s premier Fourth of July, community-wide celebration, a patriotic salute to the birth of our nation Start the celebration with the Stars & Strips Pancake Breakfast. Then enjoy the Elk Grove Rod Custom & Motorcycle Show, the Let Freedom Ride! Bike & Pedal Parade, and concert, more. The day concludes with a fireworks spectacular at 9:30 P.M.

Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration

The Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration returns for a 20th year, bigger and better than ever! Join the fun with carnival rides, concerts, a BMX show, festival food, free activities, booths, a great beer garden, and the best fireworks show in the region. The All American City 5k starts at 9 a.m., stay for the parade at 10 a.m. and spend a fun-filled day in Hagan Park. Dance the night away with Night Fever on stage, topped off with the Fireworks Spectacular—said to be their best fireworks show ever! It’s all along the beautiful American River at Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova.

4th of July River Cruises

Celebrate the red, white, and blue on a cruise down the Sacramento River this 4th of July! Enjoy a one-hour river cruise leaving from Old Sacramento to see the historical river ways that built Sacramento into what it is today. Celebrate with your whole family while getting your face painted, or receive a special balloon character from a balloon artist!

Fourth of July Fun at Discovery Museum

Enjoy a visit to the Discovery Museum this holiday week with a self-guided tour of their Blast from the Past exhibit. Everyone loves rocks, fossils, and dinosaurs! Kids can show patriotic pride by crafting one of the most popular crafts, a star-spangled waver.

Movie at the Ballpark

Start your Independence Day celebrations off with movie in the ballpark! Bring a picnic, popcorn or purchase available concessions, then settle in for the evening to enjoy a great American baseball classic, “Angels in the Outfield.”

Folsom Firecracker

The 6th Annual Folsom Firecracker is a great event to kick off Independence Day. Celebrate the many blessings we have, while helping others in our community and around the world. Part of the proceeds will go to various organizations of your choice. Beneficiaries include five local charities and one in Mexico.

WSF July 4th 5-3-1 Run!

Kick off Independence Day festivities with Woodland Schools Foundation at their July 4th 5-3-1 Run! This year’s event features a one-mile run/walk and a two USATF certified courses: 5K (3.1 mile), and five-mile. All races will be professionally timed by Red Cap Race Timing. The 5 mile and 5K race routes take you through neighborhoods on asphalt streets and paved sidewalks. Fleet Feet Sports, Davis is the Gold sponsor. All proceeds benefit the students of Woodland Joint Unified School District.

Elk Grove Run 4 Independence

The 10th Annual Run 4 Independence, taking place on the Last Saturday in June—June 28, 2014, benefits Elk Grove Food Bank Services and is our largest monetary annual fundraiser.  Each year families, friends, and competitive runners come together to share in this Elk Grove tradition.

CSA 4th of July Picnice

The public is invited to spend Independence Day at the Center for Spiritual Awareness as it presents the CSA 4th of July Carnival: Picnic & Performance. This family-friendly event runs from 12 noon – 4 pm on Friday, July 4th at the Center for Spiritual Awareness in West Sacramento. The Carnival includes activities for kids, picnic food and beverages, and two special performances that explore America’s dynamic past and multifaceted present.
