Lucky for you, we’ve compiled a comprehensive guide to all of the best July 4th 2015 fireworks in San Francisco, the peninsula, and the North Bay area, as well as other great celebrations and activities that you can enjoy with your family this Independence Day!

There’s plenty of great family-friendly events happening this year throughout the region, with tons of festivities, celebrations, fireworks, fun runs, and other all-ages activities.

Fireworks, Festivities, and Parades

Fourth of July Celebration at Pier 39 - Fisherman's Wharf

PIER 39 celebrates Independence Day with fun for the whole family, featuring musical entertainment and activities in the PIER 39 Entrance Plaza.The fun starts at 12pm with a performance from WJM, the world’s youngest social cause band, followed by popular cover band, Tainted Love, at 5pm.

You can also celebrate your Findependance with Shark Week! Television’s most anticipated summer event, Shark Week, is hitting PIER 39 with shark-filled fun for the whole family.

At approximately 9:30pm, The City of San Francisco will treat spectators to a dazzling fireworks display over the San Francisco Bay.*

4th of July Fireworks Spectacular with the San Francisco Symphony

The San Francisco Symphony performs its annual Fourth of July concert and celebration. Each year, the symphony switches up its musical theme to create a unique experience for guests. Past themes have included “American Journeys” and “the sporting life.” This year’s concert promises to be just as fun with the orchestra performing another unique repertoire in celebration of the nation’s birthday, followed by a fireworks spectacular.

41st Annual 4th of July Celebration in Pacifica

Join the Pacifica’s Parks, at Frontierland Park for a 4th of July celebration featuring live music, face painting, hair coloring, temporary tattoos, puppets, balloons, dance, really tasty food, cotton candy, craft booths, and more!

4th of July Celebration in Foster City

Join the City of Foster City and the Lions Club of Foster City for this exciting all-day event on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Leo Ryan Park!  You don't want to miss all the games, food, entertainment, family and dog parade, and a grand fireworks display. The 2015 Fireworks show is in part, sponsored by Gold Medal Martial Arts.

Location: Leo Ryan Park, Foster City

July 4th Fireworks, Parade, and Picnic in Sausalito

This three-part event begins with a parade of floats, bands, classic cars, local officials, and organizations. The Parade starts at Second and Main Streets and ends at Dunphy Park. After the parade, the party starts at Dunphy Park with food and entertainment, tug of war, an egg toss, live music, and dancing. The finale at Gabrielson Park features more live music and entertainment followed by Sausalito’s legendary fireworks display.

162nd Annual Vallejo July 4th

The 162nd Annual Vallejo July 4th Parade is on with the theme "Stars and Stripes Forever!" Parade step off is 10:00 am. The 2015 Vallejo 4th of July Parade will travel on its traditional route beginning at Broadway and Tennessee, then turns left on Sonoma Blvd, then right on Georgia through downtown. Enjoy the day and return to the Vallejo waterfront for FIREWORKS at approximately 9:15 pm.

Coca-Cola July 4th Fest at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

For three consecutive days - July 3, 4 & 5 - join the Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest as we celebrate our country, enjoy the summer and share great times with family and friends.  You'll be dazzled by brilliant fireworks displays nightly throughout Six Flags' July 4th Fest weekend sponsored by Coca-Cola®. By day, stroll the park snacking on scrumptious treats like churros, ice cream sundaes and funnel cakes, then gaze the eye-popping fireworks shows under the warm summer skies. It's a recipe for a great American party!

Corte Madera-Larkspur July Fourth Celebration

The Corte Madera and Larkspur festivities start off with at with the parade, featuring the Famous Corte Madera Town Band, McIntosh Pipe Band, and the Freedom Band.  Day long activities continue at the Corte Madera Town Park, with plenty of entertainment, children's activities, and vendors.

Location: Downtown Corte Madera and Larkspur

Marin County Fair Fireworks

Watch in awe as the sky above Marin County Fair illuminates with a watershed of exciting new effects. This will be the biggest, most elaborate fireworks spectacular ever staged over the lagoon. Using the skies as its canvas, this truly immersive entertainment experience will be one not to miss as it fills the Marin skies every night of the Fair.

Old Fashioned Fourth of July - San Mateo

The San Mateo County History Museum will present an Old Fashioned Fourth of July within its building, the 105-year-old county courthouse in Redwood City. Children will be invited to hand-crank homemade vanilla ice cream and then take a taste. They will also make traditional Independence Day crafts to take home with them.

San Mateo Highlands Fireworks, Parade & Festival

Build your float for the Parade! The annual 4th of July celebration that the Highlands is famous for, is fast approaching. And to make it happen we need help to come from all around the Highlands.

The Highlands Independence Day celebration theme for 2015 is “Come One, Come All”. This theme was chosen to celebrate everyone in the Highlands, including YOU, and what makes you unique!
