Published Nov 27, 2014 | Updated Feb 19, 2020

One of my favourite things about the lead up to Christmas is the lights everywhere! Something about it is so magical. Whether grand festivals, or checking out the houses, here's some of the best Christmas lights you can find in Calgary!

This holiday season there will literally be millions of twinkling lights hung all around Calgary so here’s a list to help you pick the very best displays!

Best Christmas Lights in Calgary

If house-touring for christmas lights Calgary is more your style, here's some AMAZING light displays happening in neighbourhoods. So much respect for people who put in all of the time, money, and effort to bring holiday cheer to the community.

55 Coventry Rd NE - ok this one is a must.  Over 12,000 LED lights, 30 strobe lights, artches, shooting stars, lighted trees. Tune in to 99.9FM and see a show! 6-10 pm on weekdays, 6-11pm weekends, and starts December 5th - December 31st

3 Baker Cres NW - this house will brighten up your evening! Over 10,000 lights is sure to do that.

28 Street SW - watch the lights dance to music! Just press the button (how exciting would this be for your kidlets?!) Apparently this year if you press it twice, you get a surprise! Nov 21- Jan 2, 5-10:30pm on weekdays and 5pm-midnight on weekends.

76 Grafton Crescent SW - this is probably the biggest and brightest. 38,000 THOUSAND lights, with many fancy ones like arches, rotating stars, trees, and changing lights. Tune into 101.9FM for over 1 hour of songs. These people are my hero!

3 Auburn Bay Place SE - an animated light show with over 10,000 LED lights, tune in on 88.5FM! Show is every night 6-10pm

Lighten Up Calgary - this genius site called Lighten Up Calgary actually shows on a map who’s houses are the brightest this holiday season! You can use this to find more houses to check out on your self-tour and plan out your route.
