Winter Holiday Camps – Victoria BC

Published Dec 17, 2012

Looking for fun activities for your kids while you’re at work over the holidays or just need a day to get ready for or recover from the hectic holiday season? Don’t fear! There are loads of great programs and winter holiday camps being offered by local Recreation Centers, Libraries, and Activity providers.  I have described a couple of my personal favs for kids below but for a complete listing of programs in your neighbourhood, click by region:

4 Cats Arts Studios

4 Cats Arts Studio, located at 5126 Cordova Bay Road is offering various Art classes especially geared towards kids this holiday season. On December 22nd & 23rd create your own Snow Globe, with your very own polymer clay character, glitter and globe in the morning or sculpt a wonderful winter ornament to decorate your house with holiday cheer in the afternoon.

If you live in Langford and your kids aren’t totally out of pent up energy apres Christmas Day, 4 Cats at 2285 Bellamy Road is also offering 2 and 3 day Care of Magical Creature winter camps; study the life cycles of various magical creatures, some of which can be rather dangerous!

The Story Studio

Join our friends at The  Story Studio in solving and creating, a tale of mystery in 3 days (Jan 2nd-4th).  Suspects, clues, motives … participants will develop their eye for observation in this playful & fun mystery-writing adventure. Each mystery will be made into a book for the participants to keep! Location: 2280 Cadboro Bay Road, fee by donation (suggested $75-$150).

Gleenglade Community Center

A must for parents in Sidney, Greenglade offers a huge selection of camps for kids aged 5-11. For a complete listing check out their listing here . But as a little previews… hop on the Panorama Polar Express for loads of fun and excitement during your holiday break. Speed ahead with games, activities, crafts, swimming, skating and much more!

Jaun de Fuca Pool and Recreation Center

Let your child’s imagination run wild with crafts, games, swimming, skating and more at Jaun de Fuca’s licensed winter break camps. This full day licensed care program is a solution for working parents or those that need a day without the kids to get ready for or recover from the hectic holiday season. Children should bring a lunch, swimsuit and towel, skate, helmet and dress for outside activity.
