School is out and the sun is shining! July has lots of great events happening here in Edmonton. Check out ChatterBlock's amazing list below of all the best events the city has to offer!

1. Telus World of Science 35th Anniversary

Over the past three and half decades the science centre has been committed to continuing to evolve and to meet the changing needs of their guests and students now and into the future.

Our 35th anniversary is an exciting opportunity to celebrate, as we open new SPACES and experiences designed to ignite curiosity, inspire discovery, celebrate science and change lives.

2. Boardwalk Sand on Whyte

Visit Boardwalk Sand on Whyte and be amazed by the sand sculptures created by Canadian sand carving artists that tells our river city story!

Bring your picnic basket or order a Southern Fried Chicken picnic from Have Mercy. Enjoy some outdoor fun and live music at the Intentional Beach.

3. Canada Day at the Legislature

Don’t miss the province’s biggest Canada Day party, at the Alberta Legislature! Visitors will enjoy free family-friendly entertainment and activities, including ceremonial events, live performances and more. The Canada Day event will highlight and honour Alberta’s diversity with many fun festivities throughout the historic Legislature Grounds.

4. Canada Day Face Painting!

Celebrate Canada Day by getting your face painted! Face painters will be in East Court from 1pm to 4pm with some amazing designs to choose from. Happy Canada Day!

5. Ride On Carnival

Enjoy your Canada Day long weekend while having fun at Mill Woods Town Centre Ride-On Carnival. Stay tuned for ticket and wrist band prices.

6. An American Ninja Warrior in YEG!

American Ninja Warrior veteran Jamie Rahn will be coming July 4-7th for an action packed weekend of all things NINJA! No matter what your skill or experience level this will be a great opportunity to learn, develop and practice ninja and obstacle skills in a fun, safe and friendly environment.

7. Edmonton International Street Performers Festival

Celebrating 35 years, the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival is doing it again! For 10 days, StreetFest will feature the best of the best jugglers, magicians, circus performers, comedians, dancers and hula hoopers from around the world.

8. Muttstock Festival 2019

Your favourite dog and music festival is turning five! Come on down for music, food, fun, games, shopping, and DOGS! They feature rescues, organizations, vendors, demos, and information all geared towards our 4-legged friends! 

Admission is free but we will be running our Pet Food Drive for the Inner City Pet Food Bank again. All donations will be accepted on site the day of the festival.

9. Beats & Eats

Summer's here and the sun's out. Time to turn your attention to the great outdoors. Grab yourself dinner on-the-go and head over on Wednesday evenings to Alex Decoteau Park - June 26, July 3 and July 10 for Beats and Eats, and a delicious blend of food and music.

10. Edmonton Ribfest 2019

Welcome to the 2nd Annual 2019 Edmonton Ribfest (July 12-14) at beautiful Borden Park featuring the best in Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork. FREE admission!

11. Edmonton Carnaval 2019

Celebrate at a great latino event! Free admission! Enjoy traditional food, drinks, and Latin America music, dance performances by international and local artists, and live bands.

12. Taste of Edmonton

Taste of Edmonton is Western Canada’s largest outdoor food and music festival, and this year it's keeping things fresh, local, and new with programs aimed at the foodie in all of us. Celebrating 35 years, Taste of Edmonton has been introducing visitors to some of the best food and beverages the city has to offer. This year, the festival endeavors to create a fun, informative, and delicious food experience while supporting the local chefs, restaurants, and producers that keep this city tasting great!
