Looking for the best outdoor movie venues this summer in Seattle? Look no further because we've listed over 60 of the best family outdoor movie screenings in the Seattle area. 

Mark your calendars and pack some popcorn, snacks, picnic blankets, and foldable chairs because there's a lot of great family-friendly movies playing this summer 2019 in Seattle! We have over 60 movies listed. That's a lot of movies! Most of the screenings are free entry while others cost no more than $5 per ticket. We suggest arriving at the venues early to get good seating.

Center City Outdoor Cinema

Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting FREE movies under the stars throughout July and August in parks throughout downtown Seattle. Pre-movie activities begin at 6pm, with the feature presentations beginning at dusk. Movies may be cancelled due to weather, so call 206-684-7710 after 1pm the day of the movies for rain-out information.

Seattle Center Movies at the Mural

Outdoor movies at the Mural Amphitheatre is a cinema experience like no other! Movies are played on a state-of-the-art 40-foot screen while families cozy up on the sloping lawn. This summer, the Seattle Center is playing popular and classic movies that the whole family will enjoy. All movies start around 9pm. Short films by the Cornish College of the Arts students will be played prior to each feature film.

Movies In The Plaza at Carillon Point Marina

Enjoy Carillon Point's outdoor movies series every other Saturday throughout July and August. $5 suggested donations benefit Hopelink of Kirkland. Each night, seating is available at 7pm and there will be dining options available beforehand.

Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park

Watch some fan-favourites while sitting on the grass at Marymoor Park. Seating opens at 6:30pm and there's always pre-movie live music. And come hungry, because some of Seattle's best food trucks will be there. All movies are $5 cash or $6 credit. Children 5 and under get in for free.

Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park

Come to for free movies, free popcorn, and free pre-movie entertainment. That's a whole lot of FREE! There are 12 movie screenings in this series that's playing throughout July and August. Each week, a non-profit agency that the audience can donate to will be represented. Pre-movie entertainment begins each night at 7:30 and movies begin at dusk (approximately at 9pm). The Bellevue Outdoor Movies in the Park series is taking place at two locations this summer, Bellevue Downtown Park and Crossroads Park.

SAAFF C-ID Summer Cinema

The Seattle Asian American Film Festival in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is bringing four, free great outdoor movies to Hing Hay Park every Saturday night in August. Pre-movie entertainment including performances, local musicians, face painting, art making will be on prior to each feature film, and there will be lots of popcorn! Movies begin at dusk.

Skyway's Free Family Outdoor Films

Every Friday night in August, Skyway is brining you some free, outdoor entertainment that you don't want to miss. Arrive at the venue as early as 7pm to purchase food from the food trucks and settle in for the pre-show that starts at 8pm. Bring some cash for the concession. Movies start at 9pm.

Cinema Under the Stars 

Rainer Arts Center is hosting two free outdoor movies as part of its Cinema Under the Stars series at Columbia Park. Bring your blankets, foldable chairs, and some cash for the concession. They will be accepting donations for Rainier Valley Food Bank. You are welcome to arrive at 8pm and the movies start at sunset.

Summer Sounds and Cinema

For three Friday nights this summer, the City of Auburn is hosting live entertainment and blockbuster movies for the whole family to enjoy. Each night will include food concessions, food trucks, inflatable rides, and art activities. Pre-movie entertainment starts at 7pm and movies start at dusk unless otherwise noted.

Edmonds Outdoor Movie Nites 

The Edmonds Parks and Recreation Department invites you and your family to their 13th annual Outdoor Movie Nites. Bring some cash because food vendors will be there. Movies begin after dusk, around 9pm.

This summer, Renton Outdoor Movies is screening four movies at four different parks around Renton. They're showing all the fan favorites right under the stars. All movies begin at dusk. All screenings are free unless otherwise stated.
