Sometimes taking the kids out to dinner feels more like a chore than a much-need brake, and it’s not always easy to find restaurants that make Mom, Dad and the kids all feel welcome. 1. Super Bueno
This bubbly, casual Mexican restaurant is fresh and colorful and serves traditional Mexican food with a twist. They have tons of seats – over 200 – and a large play area for kids, so the kids can play away while you're enjoying a glass of wine.

The entire family will feel welcome at Gerladine’s Counter. Open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, this is a casual, comfortable restaurant with homey vibes and serves American comfort food. The french toast is some of the best French toast in the city. And best of all, it has a kids' menu with some the kiddies’ favourites – chicken fingers, peanut butter and jelly, mac 'n cheese, and more. Yum, yum!

3. Vios Cafe
Feeling like some yummy, homemade Greek food? Families are always welcome at Vios. Their kid’s meals feature some fan favourites like mac 'n cheese and spaghetti and meatballs. We love it because they have an enclosed play are for the little ones.

Visit Lola for some modern Mediterranean dishes with a twist and great service. They’re open for dinner every day of the week, breakfast Mondays to Fridays, and brunch on the weekends. Everything on their kid’s menu is $8 or under. Make sure to save some room in your belly for their fresh made donuts that are all the rave. You can think of them as heaven in one bite. Your kids will love them and you will too!

5. Tutta Bella
Tutta Bella serves up some tasty, traditional Italian cuisine. Locals come here to get their favourite wood-fired pizza. Their five cosy venues each have a warm atmosphere and lots of highchairs. And while you’re waiting for your food, the kids will be entertained as they play with chunks of pizza dough.

Uneeda Burger is a very casual, road-side burger joint in Fremont. We recommend coming here for dinner on a sunny evening. They have picnic table seating outside on their patio and highchairs for the little tots. There’s no frills here, just great food, great beer and a lively atmosphere that is honestly an awesome spot for families.

Looking for dinner with a view? Anthony’s is a casual, seafood restaurant that is an enjoyable place to bring the family. They have booth seating, highchairs, and colouring for kids. Their kids’ menu has some fish options and also pasta for those with a less mature palate. And if you’re driving, don’t worry – they have free parking!

Frelard is a great place to sit inside or outside and chomp on some delicious pizza. What makes it a standout spot for families is their famous play place with a big chalk board, books, building blocks, and other toys. You monitor your own kids but you’ll have a glass of wine or beer in hand.

You and your kids will be well-fed at Duke’s! Duke’s has a long 42-year history in the Seattle, and boy do they serve some great fish! They have been voted the Best Seafood Restaurant in 2018 and 2019 by both 425 Magazine and by South Sound magazine. Their kids menu offers some fan favourites, like burgers and linguine, and healthier options, like grilled chicken breast. All kids dishes are under $11 and come with a side of your choice and a drink. Duke’s locations all have a casual, laid-back atmosphere – we guarantee that your family will love it here.

Alright. Mizu is seriously a lot of fun for the whole family. Who wouldn’t want to sit around a Hibachi table and watch a chef slice ‘n dice and grill your fresh meal right in front of you? If you haven’t dined like this before, you have to try it out. It’s seriously a kid favorite.
Make a reservation on a Sunday because on Sunday’s there’s a special deal where when you buy two entrees you get one kid’s meal free. Mizu is open for lunch and dinner.
