Granville Island comes to life with six fantastic indoor theatre venues and a bustling arts activity village! The whole festival is like a playground! From toddlers to tweens, they have shows and activities for everyone.

The 5K Foam Fest is a one of kind Obstacle Course based fun run. There will be 22+ obstacles including the world's largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits and 2.5 MILLION cubic feet of foam! Rock out all day to 12,000 watts of awesome family friendly music, enjoy a FREE kids zone for kids 7 and under, delicious food, great vendors and beer gardens for parents.

Spectac! 2019 is jam packed with explosive live entertainment bringing tradition and thrilling acts featuring the Flying Cortes Trapeze family, acrobatics, death-defying Wheel of Destiny, Xtreme Chinese Acrobats including chair balancing, contortion, diablo, and towering feats of balancing strength, Comedy fearless Gonzalez Motorcycle Globe, Hula Hoops, MotoSwing athleticism and beautiful Aerialists.

In addition to the traditional Marathon there is "The Kids Run" which is for kids of all fitness levels. The race in Stanley Park on Saturday is designed to inspire kids to get moving, make healthy choices, and feel confident. Each child receives a race shirt, bib, medal, snack, and a special visit from an Elite Athlete for bib signing and photos. This positive, memorable experience will last your kids a lifetime.

Take a magical trip over land, sea and sky and learn how to be a good friend to our planet. Musical instruments, puppets and colourful wildlife characters make this the perfect nature adventure for little ones.
The BEE Stage at CTYP is an intimate, interactive performance designed especially for the littlest patrons, babies, toddlers and preschoolers; seating is general admission, floor seating on mats – a limited number of chairs will be available for those who need them.

Road Race FOUR is the fourth of five events in the 2019 MEC Greater Vancouver Road Race Series offering. Come on June 9th for the race that is aimed to get some dirt under those shoes and for those who are all about getting active and staying fit.
For only $20 you can choose 5K or 10K race or for $25 a 21.1K race on the scenic dyke at Garry Point Park. Runners will experience a fun and welcoming race atmosphere complete with professional chip timing, complimentary tea and fresh fruit.

Italian Day on The Drive is a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and community. The event includes over 120 street participants, comprised of partners, vendors, community organizations, and an estimated 300,000 attendees of all ages and cultures. The festival is held on Commercial Drive (The Drive), home to Little Italy, where the street is transformed into a lively 14 block festival.

East Vancouver homes are full of great stuff. Crates of records, dressers overflowing with vintage clothes, toys and books falling off of shelves. Come to the Great Grandview Garage Sale and help the residents of Grandview Woodland rid themselves of their treasures.

Main Street Car Free Day is back and celebrating it's 12th year running! Kicking things off for the neighbourhood's biggest party on Sunday, June 16th at 12pm on Main Street between Broadway and 30th.
The heart of Mount Pleasent, Main Street is a vibrant area featuring food, arts, music, and nightlife. It is known for its' small independent shops, craft breweries, and youthful residents.

A five block stretch on Broadway measuring almost one kilometer, from McDonald to Blenheim, is closed off to traffic to make room for a world of delicious Greek food and drink, market vendors, entertainment, and live music offering a laid back, yet lively Greek atmosphere. This award winning festival presents valued community partners the opportunity to exhibit products, promote travel experiences, or showcase their brand to a massive captive consumer audience.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performs its annual free outdoor concert showcasing the beauty of Burnaby's Deer Lake Park. The crowd-pleasing program of light classics and popular favourites is always a coveted and not to be missed highlight of the summer!
Come early, bring a blanket or chair and a picnic and settle in for a wonderful evening with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Just a reminder that parking in the vicinity is limited, so alternate transportation is recommended.

This enchanting exhibition illustrates the role puppets have played around the world in the transmission of cultural knowledge, stories, and values from generation to generation. Shadows, Strings and Other Things features a broad array of puppets, old and new, from 15 countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
