It's that time of year for adding on the extra layers and getting out to your favourite farm!
There's no better way to spend a fall day than to take a day trip to pick your perfect pumpkin, burn off energy in the corn mazes, and pet farm animals.
Here's some of the best options for Toronto families, tailored towards kids.
Take a wagon ride out to the farm fields where you can ‘pick-your-own’ pumpkins, apples, sweet corn and flowers! In September and October the Harvest Festival is on with a corn maze, wagon rides, the Straw Mountain (pictured above), and the spooky Haunted Forest!

It's a human size puzzle! Carved into over 25 acres of 12 foot-tall walls of cornstalks, this year is the biggest maze yet. Every year is a brand new maze, so you can make it your annual tradition and not worry about getting bored. Find all the checkpoints and solve the puzzle with the kids. This one is great for all ages.

For something a little more low key and smaller in size for younger kids, this is a great option and located not too far away in Markham. Right next to the pumpkin patch, the corn maze is only $3 per person or $10 per family, and even though it's one of the smaller ones mentioned here, there's still all the space you'll need to get lost! And don't forget to bring your camera to take a photo with the giant scarecrow!

Pick your perfect pumpkin at the farm where they've been growing pumpkins for over 35 years! There's lots more activities to choose from, and as they like to say on the farm: "Come for the pumpkins, stay for the fun!" From wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, a straw jump, a corn maze, face painting, farm animals, and a big play area, there's tons of fun to be had at Knox's Pumpkin Farm.

Kids will love Strawhaven! It's home to a huge corn maze that changes each year and smaller straw mazes perfect for younger kids.
