1. The Fair at the PNE


It’s not every day you can explore exhibits, enjoy live performances, be thrilled by rides, play games, learn about livestock, shop for treasures, and eat the yummiest food all in one place. Kids of all ages love BC’s legendary Fair at the PNE!

8. Richmond World Festival


Richmond's major multicultural festival was expanded to 2 days this year. This festival celebrates Richmond’s significant cultural diversity and we’re inviting the world to the party! With headliners like Lights,

3. Victory Square Block Party

The annual event to bring summer to a close! Free live music, awesome raffle prizes, and ice cream truck for a full day of all ages fun. Performances this year include La Kasquivana, Prxncxss Aprntly, Sorry Edith, future star, Mamarudegyal, club sofa, YEP and Devours.

4. Labour Day Fair

The final hurrah of the summer season at Burnaby Village Museum. It's old-fashioned fun complete with games of chance, entertainment, demonstrations, a children's craft, and market vendors. Plus FREE carousel rides!

5. SKOOKUM Festival


The highly anticipated festival boasts an amazing lineup of local and international musical artists, including headliners The Killers and Florence + The Machine. SKOOKUM will bring over 50 stage performances on three stages, live and multimedia art installations, gourmet culinary experiences, while showcasing some of the best BC wines, craft beer, and offerings from local craft distilleries. Best news yet? It's an all ages festival, so you can still attend with your children in tow.

6. Wesbrook Village Festival


The bustling boulevards of Wesbrook Village will be alive with family-friendly activities during the community’s annual community festival. Enjoy a sidewalk sale with interactive games and contests, plus there will be a kids zone complete with face-painting fun, craft tables, bouncy castles and more. Don't miss the live on-stage performances and of course, what beats a FREE BARBECUE?

7. Surrey's Pie in the Plaza


Looking for something fun and unique? Celebrate Agriculture Week with this fun family event and see the creation of BC's largest blueberry pie! Watch the pie being assembled and stay for a slice after the ceremonial pie cutting. There will also be other free, family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon like pony rides, live music, face painting, corn maze, photo booth and more.

8. Coho Festival

This event is more than the name suggests. Yes, it features the famous Coho Salmon Barbecue, but also a Kids Park, Main Stage, and the Squamish Nation Village. The day starts with a Coho Run, Coho Swim, pancake breakfast and much more.

9. Aldor Acres Family Farm


This is a pumpkin patch heaven, and then some. Petting zoos, snack bar, baby farm animals, tractor rides out to the patches. On a beautiful fall day, Aldor Acres is a must.

10. Southlands Country Fair

Enjoy a day in the country (without leaving the city)!
