1. Inglewood Sunfest


At Sunfest, there is an activity made for all ages. This could mean a jump in the bouncer for the kids, discovering a great new band, being wowed and amazed by our cool street performers, choosing a perfect summer patio or searching for a trendy fashion; there is no shortage of things happening.

2. Floating Lantern Peace Ceremony


More than a thousand of beautiful lanterns will be launched to remember those who were impacted by atomic bombings and wartime fires still continuing in modern time in our international community. Join in to launch a floating lantern with your wish to peace and hope to create happiness in the community. A floating lantern will be rented with a small donation of $5.

3. Taste of Calgary


This year’s blend of international cuisines will treat your taste buds to flavors from African, East Indian, Italian, Asian and and others; all represented by over forty of the Calgary’s most unique restaurants and beverage companies. Admission to the festival is free and includes a taste of Calgary’s incredible local entertainers – live on the Main Stage.

4. Calgary Dragon Boat Festival


One of Calgary's "best family friendly outdoor festivals around". Drawing over 4000 spectators and an abundance of excitement and cultural experiences every year, the Calgary Dragon Boat Society (CDBS) organizes this 2 Day Dragon Boat Race & Festival at North Glenmore Park to show case culture and dragon boat racing.

5. Sweet Summer Corn Festival


The Sweet Summer Corn Fest activity line-up includes: 1 free cob of Taber Corn for each visitor to take home, corn husking competition, pony rides, face painting, and corn decorating.

6. Marda Gras Street Festival

7. GlobalFest


Alberta's most EXPLOSIVE festival! 2018 features presentations produced by world-class pyro musical artists hailing from the Ukraine, Spain, Philippines and China, culminating with GlobalFest’s own spectacular Finale presentation.

8. Franco Festival


Francophone Festival Calgary is about bridging the gap and breaking down the barriers of cultural misunderstanding. The festival celebrates, showcases and shares the considerable abilities of Calgary's francophone arts and cultural communities. This year the children's corner will be represented by le Centre d'Appui Familiale of Calgary, which will offer games and crafts for your children!

9. Carifest


Calgary’s Carifest celebrates Caribbean arts and culture. The festival will kick off at Olympic Plaza with a parade down Stephen Avenue. Afterwards, you can join the celebration at Shaw Millennium Park and enjoy local, international and Caribbean entertainment, food, art and more.

10. Movies at the Meadows

Watching movies on a large screen outdoors has become a popular summer activity - and what better place to do it than at Spruce Meadows! Movies are $20/carload ($15/carload if purchased in advance) and offer a great opportunity for families to enjoy some time together under the stars. Doors open at 7:30pm for live music, food, and snacks. There's a complimentary bouncy castle to keep the kids occupied and train rides or carousel rides available for $4 per ride.

The movie begins at sunset.
