Founding Nations hosts the annual fun and festive pow wow event at The Forks. This event is used  to showcase the beauty and styles of the dances from the aboriginal communities in Manitoba. Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre

1 Snow Goose Bay on Hwy. 220 Oak Hammock Marsh
September 4th. 10AM - 4:30PM

Considering it is the long week, why not take a short drive out to Oak Hammock Marsh to check out the wildlife and Interpretive Centre as a family? There will be crafts, critter dipping, canoe excursions, face painting, birding walks and even a horse drawn wagon.

Sounds like fun!

Caravan - Live Music & Open Mic at the Cube

The Cube
September 4th, 7PM (sign up), 7:30PM (start)

The Exchange District BIZ in partnership with Manitoba Music is pleased to present a variety of performances and concerts at the Cube Stage. On Monday, come down and enjoy an "Anything Goes" open mic night. A mix of music, spoken word, comedy, magic, dance, and storytelling! You and your family will see a range of performances from experienced artists trying out new things to people taking the stage for the first time.

Note: do to the inexperience of many performers we suggest that this event be for older children only.

We want a pitcher - not a belly itcher! If your family loves sports and great food we recommend heading out to Shaw Park to catch a baseball game. The Goldeyes play all long weekend so there should be a game that fits your long weekend schedule.
