It’s almost Spring Break in Victoria! While the kids may be off school, you still have lots to do. Spring Break camps are a great idea for busy parents and active kids alike. From arts and crafts to gymnastics, homemade literature and more, we’ve come up with what we think are the top 10 Spring Break camps in Victoria, BC (not ranked in order).

1. Crafty School of Art

Crafty School of Art, located in Oak Bay across from the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC, is offering a jungle-themed Spring Break camp. Kids will get “crafty” with clay, wool, papier-mâché, sewing and more! The camp is broken into 2 sections based on age.



2. 4Cats Royal Oak/Cordova Bay

4Cats Arts Studio is a professional arts studio for artists aged 2 to 15. At 4Cats Arts Studio, kids get to work in a variety of mediums, taking inspiration from the works of famous artists. During 4Cats 2, 3, and 4 days Spring Break camps, kids will channel painter Georgia O’Keeffe, sculpt with clay and create magical globes at their Cordova Bay and Langford locations.


3. Falcon Gymnastics

Falcon Gymnastic Centre’s primary objective is to ensure that children of all ages and levels have fun while participating in their gymnastics classes. Under the guidance of highly trained and experienced teachers, your children can have doing all kinds of cool tricks! Falcon offers full-and half-day Spring Break camps for kids aged 5 to 14.


4. Monterey Recreation Centre

Co-ed hockey camps are being held at this recreation centre on Monterey Avenue for 5 to 13 year-olds (2 separate camps). Full hockey gear is required for this fun camp and bring a snack because the kids will be tired after a day of skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, team play, and game play. The NHL is next!


5. Art Gallery of Greater Victoria

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, on Moss Street, is dedicated to the celebration of art. The Children’s Art Studio invites young artists to immerse in the art-making process during Spring Break, where the kids will work on innovative studio projects inspired by the life and work of famous artists! Participants will be working on new ideas, materials and techniques each day.


6. Wild Arts

Fiona, owner of Wild Arts, located in Saanich, says, “It gives me the greatest pleasure and fulfilment to encourage young stars to find their unique voice and not be afraid to shine.” At Wild Arts, children are encouraged to seek out their unique creative path through student exploration, movement, music and art.



7. Story Studio

The Story Studio, on Cordova Bay Road, believes that children and youth already have the capacity to create, they just need a little guidance to capture what is already inside! Kids are invited to create a book of their own imagining during their Spring Break camp, March 11 to 14.



8. Victoria READ Society

Work with one of READ’s innovative teachers to develop learning strategies and tools to take home and into the classroom. Spring Break campers will create a Language Arts Learning Toolkit and fill it with games, hands on activities and stories. Sounds like fun!



9. Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence

The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) is offering Spring Break camps at Pearkes Recreation and VicWest Community centres for kids aged 5 to 7 and 8 to 10! PISE programming focuses on developing physical literacy, and PISE believes that acquiring fundamental skills and confidence promotes healthy kids to become healthy adults. During their Spring Break camps kids will practice running, jumping, catching, and kicking!


10. Cabri Creative Dance

Waltz into the magical world of Cabri’s Spring Break dance programs! Join Annemarie in creative dance, French song and games, and circle dances. Kids also get to take home their own book full of their wonderfully creative drawings! This is great for kids in French-immersion or for those who want to try a new language!
