There are a lot of great Father’s Day events in Victoria this year including in and outdoor activities dependent on dad`s tastes.

If you aged are 18+, take dad out to enjoy some fresh air and amazing scenery with a hike along East Sooke`s Coast Trail. Join a CRD Regional Parks` naturalist for this challenging 7 hour hike and take in lush scenery, the ocean breeze and local wildlife. As this hike is 18+ this might be one for dad to take on solo, back in time for a special daddy dinner! This hike is from 8:30am until 4:30pm.
There are a couple of choices for a Father’s Day swim. Gordon Head Rec‘ and Panorama Rec‘ both have free swims for dad on June 16th! Head to Gordon Head rec for 10am and Panorama at 1pm. If dad really loves to swim, head to both!
Support the fight against prostate cancer with this Father’s Day Run at Royal Roads. Run or walk, whichever suits your family, but do it in full support of finding a cure for the disease that has affected so many men. Race starts at 10am.
The 3rd annual Celebrate Our Harbour Day encourages a trip to our beautiful inner harbour to experience the unique character, history, industry, and landscape of this area. This is a fun-filled afternoon of family activities taking place on Songhees and Ship Point, traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples, and on the waters of Victoria’s picturesque Inner Harbour.
Sample historical tours, kayak and dragon boat races, and even put dad in pirate school! There will also be First Nations cultural activities, live music, and more. This is a great event for families.
Is dad a nerd? Does he love his comic books? Then the Victoria Comic Book Expo will blow his mind. This is a perfect addition to the Father’s Day events in Victoria this year. Taking place at the Comfort Hotel and Conference Centre, this buy, sell and trade event starts at 11am and goes on until 4pm. Look for hard to find treasures, pick up the latest comics for your stash and check out other comic book related collectibles.
This Father’s Day Cèilidh is a celebration of dads everywhere and involves music and song, dancing and storytelling in the beautiful Beacon Hill Park. This is the 10th annual Cèilidh and is fun for the whole family. This events takes place from 1:30pm until 3:30pm and for the fact buffs among us, Cèilidh means ‘kitchen party’ in Gaelic!
Head over to the Father’s Day BBQ at the Galloping Goose Grille for some good eats that include meat, meat and more meat – that’s dad’s staple diet isn’t it? This event is just $29 for a menu that includes buttermilk fried chicken, bbq ribs, maple beans, chipotle ale cornbread and more! Opens at 10am and continues until 10pm.
