Prince's Island Park Playground

Prince's Island Park playground is arguably one of the largest in Calgary. Located on the North side of one of Calgary's most beautiful parks, the destination has plenty of activities to offer. It is a walking distance to the wading pool at Eau Claire. It has an incredible landscape featuring some rolling hills and lots of grassy area with mature trees. The playground also has a Calgary theme with a cowboy hat swing set and Fort Calgary climber perfect for kids of all ages. Parents can enjoy a walk or bike ride along the great pathway system.




Nelli Breen Playground

This is an impressive park created as a real community space where people of all ages meet and interact. It features a gazebo and multiple seating options including picnic tables and Adirondack chairs surrounded by huge mature trees that provide some shade throughout the park. Unlike many playgrounds, the Nelli Breen playground has a variety of accessible activities on the ground floor. It is an excellent choice for those with limited mobility skills. Kids will be thrilled by the tall climber featuring a couple of slides including a tunnel slide, monkey bars, and other climbable options not to forget the large rope spinners and saucer swings.




Bowness Park Playground

Bowness Park is a popular park with an excellent playground, perfect for toddlers and even older kids. The facility offers a toddler climber with ramps and train structure that little ones will love running up and down. It has a bigger climber with a catwalk, slides, small rock wall, and stairs ideal for older kids. The playground also features two saucer swings, and Apollo spinners which are a favourite for the young ones. You can enjoy an exciting picnic experience with your loved ones at the picnic tables that surround the park. The playground offers free parking lots and is a short walk to the wading pool.




Riley Park Playground

The playground at Riley Park is great for kids of all ages. It has ramps and a slide for younger kids, while older kids can challenge themselves on the rope bridge, or by taking a shot at keeping their balance on the suspended balance beams. The location features a beautiful rock garden and a lovely wading pool. A small gazebo is centrally placed at the playground to give a bit of a shade during the hot summer days while serving as a place for kids to engage in pretend plays. A huge climbing structure, teeter-totters, rope walls, swings, saucers and musical features are also available giving a fun-filled daytime experience. The park is just a walking distance from the Kensington shopping area.




Applestone Park Playground

Applestone Park, located on Applewood Drive SE, Applestone Park has an accessible playground with play equipment suitable for all ages and ability levels. It is truly a kid's paradise. Young toddlers will never go short of things to do here. From a pre-school climber featuring musical panels and train play panels, to slides and ramps to tackle, the little ones are sure to get entertained. The older ones can amuse themselves alongside their kid brothers and sisters by keeping busy with the merry go rounds, climber with bridges, swings, catwalks, ropes, climbing walls and more. The playground is accessible to children with limited mobility and poor motor control and offers great play structures for them to enjoy.





East Village Playground

This is a popular playground that brings lots of kids to the East Village area. It is everything a playground should be. The newly established play area is positioned on the hill and offers many playground features including climber with roller slides, large rope and log climber, drums, and musical xylophone suitable for kids of all ages. The area for younger toddlers has accessible flooring. The little ones will love trying to walk around the uneven ground and climbing up on the stumps and platform as they improve their coordination skills. Older kids will also find lots to challenge themselves with the different climbing and overhead equipment.
