If you are looking for a great spot where you can take your kids to have some fun, then Adventure Playground is the place to be. It is one of the more modern playgrounds in the area, and is complete with cute paintings and areas to play soccer. You can even go swimming!

Cordonices Park is an ideal playground for kids of all ages. The most exciting feature about this playground is that it has a 40-foot-long concrete slide!
Nearby, there is a basketball court for older kids and well maintained grassy areas where parents can relax as they watch their children play. For the toddlers who might get hurt if they played with the rest, there is a fenced-in play area.
Dracena Quarry Park
130, Dracena Ave. Piedmont
Lovers of outdoor activities in East Bay know that Dracena Quarry Park is one of the best family spots. It is a modernized park with a fantastic play area for kids. The kids' play structure consists of an abandoned rock quarry that has a curving path which winds up the lawns along the steep excavated hills. The park also has a modern climbing wall and a hillside slide. The water and sand play area provides a beach environment and an opportunity to play water games.

Located in Temescal, Frog Park is a unique playground that has a creek which kids wade in and a large sand pit where several games are played. The park also has a wide variety of playing equipment and games to cater for the interests of kids from different age groups. Lots of local parents choose to host their little ones birthday parties here!
Bonus: Frog Park also has a tire swing (which is rare to find in other playgrounds).
Doyle Hollis Park
1327, 62nd Street, Emeryville
Doyle Hollis Park has a great updated feel and offers an unmatched environment and experience for kids. The climbing wall in Doyle Hollis has a series of rope structures that the kids use to climb up the wall. There is also a gravity-powered spinning wheel that is that is tons of fun if you can handle the dizzy ride.
Roberts Regional Recreational Area
10570, Skyline Blvd. Oakland
Located in a grove of tall and majestic redwoods, Roberts Park is the best playground for adventurous nature-lovers. The park has a large elevated platform and different slides where kids can run around and burn some more energy off. There are also climbing apparatuses enhanced with safety features for extra protection.
The Roberts Regional Recreation Area gives kids a chance to play real-life games like the game of Chutes and ladders. They also have modified equipment to cater for children who have special needs and is wheelchair accessible.
