Published Sep 19, 2018

October isn’t complete without taking the kids to a pumpkin patch. Check out our favourite pumpkin patches in and around Ottawa.

As the weather cools, and the leaves start changing colour it’s time to visit the pumpkin patch! Many local farms start to sell pumpkins as early as the beginning of October. So grab a sweater, maybe a pumpkin spice latte, and get pickin’.

Sure you could go to the grocery store and pick a pumpkin out of the bin, OR you could give your kids a slightly more authentic pumpkin picking experience at one of the many local pumpkin patches that Ottawa has to offer.

Here are a few of our favourites!

1. Log Cabin and Pumpkin Patch

Your family can pick more than just apples at the Log Cabin and Pumpkin Patch. Plan to spend the day getting free Hay-Wagon rides, sampling fresh baked goods, candy apples, (cider for adults) and mexican treats on the weekend. The Log Cabin and Pumpkin Patch also offers free admission and parking so there is no reason not to go.
