Halloween events abound in the DFW Area! Scare yourself silly with the best spooky events, scary attractions and Halloween parties taking place in the city. The staff at ChatterBlock has compiled a list of some frighteningly fun events that you will surely enjoy!

Fright Fest

Fright Fest is a spooky time of year at Six Flags as zombies and ghouls take over the park. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a truly frightening evening of fun after the sun goes down. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including several haunted houses and scare zones located throughout the park. This event is recommended for visitors 14 years old and over. 

When: Various days and times from September 21-November3

Designated the Mayor’s Safe Trick-Or-Treat Zone, Friscovania features a haunted carnival for kids, live music, entertainment and a wicked runway show with some of the biggest names in fashion. Proceeds from the event benefit City House.

Come out and celebrate everything fall! This family event has lots to offer, including a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, balloon artists, face painting, and live entertainment.

Halloween at the Heard

Experience Collin County’s premier family-friendly Halloween event featuring the joy of trick-or-treating along the eerie Dinosaurs Live! Live-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs trail.  Families will enjoy an evening full of fun activities including a presentation of a family-friendly movie on the Heard's outdoor amphitheater stage.

Zombie Survival Sleepover

War of the Stars: The 5th Annual Sci-Fi Halloween Extravaganza! 

It's that time of year again. Spend the day trick-or-treating at the Frontiers of Flight Museum with your favourite sci-fi characters. Some of your favourite Star Wars characters will be there. Superman, Wonder Woman, and Captain America will also make an appearance. All kids dressed in costume are eligible to participate in the Annual Halloween Red Carpet Costume Contest. Awesome prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finalists. 

When: October 26, 10am-2pm

Farmers Branch Halloween in the Park is a family friendly event. Spooky activities include a Haunted Hedge, carnival games, bounce houses, Boo-ville, live entertainment, and much more. B4 Realty and Goosehead Insurance will be hosting a canned food drive to benefit Metrocrest Services.
