Summer is around the corner & the temperature is rising every day. A great way to keep your cool (literally) is to head out to a spray parks with kids for splashing around, burn some energy and have lots of family fun.

Here are our top 10 choices of the best spray parks in Sacramento to cool down this summer in, with schedules and hours without spending a fortune : 

Swanston Splash Park

Location: 2350 Northrop Ave
Park Hours : 11am to 6 pm

The Swanston Splash Park is the most exciting attraction at Swanston Park. The multiple water features and exciting Splash Pad area make for hours upon hours of fun in the sun. The Splash Park is free to the public.

There are other amenities like basketball & tennis courts, community center, sand volleyball court and more, available at the park. So your entire family can have a full fun day with lots of activities to enjoy.



Bertha Henschel Play Pool

Location : 160 45th St, Sacramento
Park Hours : Tues-Fri 12nn-4pm, Sat/Sun 1-5pm, Sun closed.

Next on our list is Bertha Henschel Play Pool. With a list of amenities available here, like shallow depth wading pool, a mushroom fountain, benches on pool deck and an adjacent park, this park has all the facilities your family needs to beat the heat this summer.

Artivio Guettero Park

Location : 6000 61st Street, Sacramento
Park Hours : 9am to 8.30pm

The Interactive Water Mister Area at Artivio Guettero Park is one of the favourite places of parents in Sacramento. The various amenities available in the park like picnic area, basketball half-court, public art area, skate park, walkways and more make it a great weekend picnic destination for families.

Seely Park

Location: 3000 Pope Ave.
Park hours: 10am-7pm

Another great splash park for kids is in Seely park. The park features picnic tables, playground, basketball court and more.

Bridgeway Lakes Community Park

Location: 3650 Southport Pkwy.
Park hours: May 1-June 14 (12pm-6pm), June 15-August 31 (11am-7pm), September 1-30 (12pm-6pm)

Another great place to spend a hot summer day with your kids is Bridgeway Lakes Park. The spray ground has several water features for kids of all ages. Other amenities available in the park are turf area, baseball diamond, amphitheater, Snack bar, walking paths, BBQs and more.

Morse Community Park

Location: 5540 Bellaterra Drive Elk Grove
Park hours:  10am-8pm

Next place to take your kids to cool off is the spray ground at Morse Park. There are fish water guns, lots of fountains and palm tree that dumps water from its coconuts. The park includes 2 playgrounds for kids age 2-5 & 5-12 years, shaded picnic areas, swings, basketball courts, BBQ, dog park and more.

Gardenland Park

Location : South Natomas Community, 310 Bowman Ave
Park Hours : 7am to 6 pm

Gardenland Park has water spray feature with perimeter seat walls. This is an interactive water spray feature that jets water out of the ground at different intervals. Kids can play, walk, run, and jump through it. The park also has picnic tables and bicycle trails.


Golden Poppy Park

Location : 5765 Tres Piezas Dr, Sacramento
Park Hours : 7am to 8pm

Another splash park kids love, is the Interactive water mister area at the Golden Poppy park. The park has some great amenities like basketball court, picnic areas, swings, jogging trail, turf field etc. which makes it fun for all.

Oki Park

Location : 2715 Wissemann Dr, Sacramento

Park Hours : 5am to 6pm


The water spraying area and swimming & wading pool at Oki park is a great place for kids to have fun in water. The park also features kids play areas, soccer & basketball courts, picnic areas, BBQ and more.


Derr-Okamoto Park


Location : 9550 Mainline Dr Opens a New Window. Elk Grove

Park Hours : 10am to 8pm


Derr-Okamoto Community Park features a jungle themed play area with spray ground, animal spray structures and water guns make it so much for kids. Park also features BMX/Skate elements, picnic areas with shade structures, a full basketball court, a soccer field, a jogging trail, adult fitness equipment, and restroom facilities.
