Theme Park Thrills for Kids in Dubai

Published Nov 24, 2016

With the drop in the oil price, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates has had to turn to other industries to realize it’s vision of becoming a world-class city. One of the areas it has invested in heavily i is the tourism sector. This makes it a great destination to take the family.

If you are looking for an exciting and interesting place to take the kids for your next family vacation why not consider Dubai!? Below are some of the top kid-friendly reason why we would recommend taking a trip out.

The most famous attractions are Wild Wadi, the Aquaventure Water Park at the Atlantis, The Palm resort and, LEGOLAND Dubai Water Park at the Dubai Parks, and Resorts entertainment village.

Another trend the city has tapped into is theme parks. There’s the world’s largest indoor theme park – spanning the size of 28 football fields: IMG Worlds of Adventure. This behemoth of fun opened its doors in August this year.  The mega-park features rides with characters from Cartoon Network and Disney’s Marvel universe, including the Hulk and Spider-man.

Opening on December 16 is another biggie: Dubai Parks and Resorts that includes a Hollywood theme park called Motiongate, the world’s first Bollywood theme park and a Legoland theme park and water park.

For Hollywood fans Motiongate Dubai promises to be a whole lot of fun.

Then there’s the world’s first Bollywood-themed park, called Bollywood Dubai. Experiences, which include interactive rides, stunt shows and a cricket carnival, have been created around Bollywood blockbusters such as Don, The Chase, Rock On!, Sholay: The Hunt for Gabbar Singh and RA.One: Unleashed.

With over 2 million expats living in Dubai, this park sounds like a solid investment. In addition to the thrilling interactive rides there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy Indian food at the many kiosks and restaurants or indulge in a spot of souvenir shopping.

In addition to expanding the Dubai Parks and Resorts village, the Middle East has ambitious plans to open more parks over the next few years.

Saudi Arabia will be opening a Six Flags theme park, Doha aims to create a park inspired by the game, "Angry Birds," and Abu Dhabi is planning a Warner Bros themed-park.

So if theme parks is your thing, and you’ve always wanted to visit Dubai, now’s your chance. I can promise you one thing only: you will never have a dull moment.
