It is never too early to start planning for spooktacular Halloween Events in East Bay! This October there are so many exciting events - from face painting, pumpkin carving, bike rides, spooky houses, and even trick-or-treating! We at Chatterblock won't let you miss any of these fun Halloween events!
On the last weekend in October, join us to celebrate with fun and games that are more delightful than frightful. Admission to Fairyland for the Jack o’Lantern Jamboree is just $10 per person ($5 for members). Come in costume and enjoy a spooktacular extravaganza with: unlimited rides, parades, goody bags and treat stations for kids*, two jumpers, one for little kids and one for bigger kids, arts and crafts, pirate school, balloon twisting, and special performances.

Visit Oakland Zoo for their annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo!
Stroll the Zoo in costume and collect yummy treats. Ride the spooky boo train and join the dance party. Plus, get your face painted, make treats for the animals, and see how the animals at Oakland Zoo celebrate Halloween. Kids in costumes receive a free ride

Bring the entire family out to Piedmont Avenue to check out the Halloween Store and Haunted House. With Fall and Halloween decorations galore, we are sure the whole family will instantly get into the Halloween spirit. As always, admission to the pumpkin patch is free, so everyone is welcome to join!
Oct 1st - 31st, 2016. 8 am - 9 pm.
Celebrate Halloween at the fun-filled 11th Annual Pumpkin Festival. Festivities include a pumpkin patch meadow, with free pumpkins, activities, and treats for the kids.
The long-standing Halloween tradition continues this year and immediately follows the Piedmont Avenue Merchants Association’s annual Halloween parade, which is part of a daylong celebration that includes trick-or-treating at participating stores on the avenue.
To join in the fun, head down to the end of Piedmont Avenue after the parade and proceed into the cemetery to the pumpkin patch meadow. Children can choose a free pumpkin (one per child) and enjoy lots of other activities, including: several “jumper” inflatable fun houses to jump around in, a hay-bale tunnel, a clown balloon artist, face painting, and a craft area to decorate pumpkins, masks, and treat bags. Food truck vendors will be onsite. Parents must accompany their children to this event.

Mountain View Cemetery
ScreamGate Haunted House in San Francisco is a harrowing Halloween haunted house experience. Begin your journey through ScreamGate as the last moments of your life are ticking away, with a prayer that you'll somehow make it to the light, intact and alive. There are monsters, ghosts and demons lurking in every hidden corner, pushing you to an untimely end.
This attraction is not suitable for children under 12 and uses special effects that will make your boyfriend scream like a 4 year old. The intention is to scare you and by entering our attraction you agree to us doing so.....

Trick or treat with the animals at Lindsay Wildlife Experience’s most popular event Howl-ooo-ween 2016. Come check out all of the miniature ghosts and goblins and their families; Howl-ooo-ween!
Come in costume and try and master our “Ookey-Spooky” obstacle course then meet some creepy crawly friends and not-so-scary animals.
Every child will receive their very own Lindsay Wildlife Howl-ooo-ween trick-or-treat bag. From spooky story time and face-painting to making crafts, there are plenty of activities for the whole family. Come hungry, because Sliders food truck will be at Lindsay starting at 5 p.m.

Lindsay Wildlife Museum
Bring the whole family in costume and enjoy the evening going from trunk to trunk, collecting candy from community members who have decorated their vehicles for this fun, spooktacular event. This year at Trunk or Treat there will be crafts, activities and a goodie bag for each child. Don't want to trick or treat? Register your decorated vehicle for a chance to win a great prize.

Pleasant Hill Park
Have you ever picked your Halloween pumpkin from under the water!? If not, we recommend checking out the Underwater Pumpkin Patch at Brisbane Pool. Come pick out a pumpkin at the Aquatic Pumpkin Patch! Entrance Fee is $5. Pumpkins will cost $2-20 based on size. There will also be fun seasonal games and races for children of all ages.
Let’s Have a Spooktacular Time!
Don your best costumes and join us for spooky family fun at the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Goblin Jamboree, a two-day Halloween festival designed for children ages 6 months to 10 years. Bring your little pumpkins for a day filled with delightful tricks and treats, including pony rides, petting zoo, hay maze, bounce houses, train rides, face painting, boo bowling, mini-golf, glow-in-the-dark trains, witch races. PLUS: Musical performances by The Hipwaders, Jelly Jam Time, and Asheba. WOW!

Bay Area Discovery Museum
Bring your kids out to the October Crafternoon! Help your little one open up a Pumpkin and explore what's inside at the annual Halloween Pumpkin Decorating kid-friendly workshop. There will an art studio prepped with scoopers, stickers, paint, and more to personalize your very own pumpkin. All the spooky fun (without worrying about any of the mess)!
