It is never too early to start planning for spooktacular Halloween Events in San Francisco! This October there are so many exciting events - from face painting, pumpkin carving, bike rides, spooky houses, and even trick-or-treating! We at Chatterblock won't let you miss any of these fun Halloween events!


ZOOtoberfest

Go on an adventure in “Harvest Hallow” for access to new and exciting attractions. Navigate through San Francisco’s largest hay maze, a 5,000-square-foot structure made from 600 bales of straw and incorporates play areas within the design. Free with paid admission to San Francisco Zoo & Gardens!

Let’s Have a Spooktacular Time!

Don your best costumes and celebrate Halloween at the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Goblin Jamboree. This year’s theme is Witches and Wizards and we’ve pulled together a cauldron of spooky themed programs and activities to entertain your entire family.

Create your own Halloween Jack O’ Lantern in this favorite annual event! Tools and pumpkins are provided while supplies last. Registration is requested at www.presidio.gov/events.

Grab your favorite costume and have yourself a ghoulishly good time as you trick-or-treat your way through the Academy at night among spooktacular animals and spine-tingling specimens!

Halloween Town Hunt & Fundraiser

The fun starts in a haunted forest where kids will hunt for fairies, then explore Halloween Town for clues to collect to save the Good Witches heart.  Throughout Town, there will be many surprises - even for parents! Then it's upstairs for crafts of marshmallow skeletons, bat origami, animal cut-outs to mount on our wall and lots of Ed-Emberley drawing fun.  A Healthy & Delish snack buffet will also include Parent Punch!

And don't forget your costumed pooch - we'll have a doggie runway with winner doggie prizes for all.

Come explore the Presidio's connection to Mexico by making Day of the Dead masks at their Creative Family Fun Crafts Halloween Event

Halloween Hoopla

Our 17th annual Halloween Hoopla features interactive performances and games for kids under 10 and their adults and the return of the Yerba Buena Pumpkin Patch! Led by the ever-popular Unique Derique, the program features live music from Chelle! & Friends, roaming shenanigans from the Pi Clowns, mysterious palm reader Madam Z, and craft activities with Trash Mash-Up. The program culminates in the eagerly awaited Halloween Costume Parade, where everyone is welcome to show off their Halloween finery.

Halloween Faire

Come in costume to celebrate All-Hallows-Eve with other wizards, witches, ferries, astronauts and cartoon characters. Play carnival games, bounce in the jump house, enjoy the candy & prize hunt and costume parade!
