Halloween events abound in Winnipeg! Scare yourself silly with the best spooky events, scary attractions and Halloween parties taking place in the city. The staff at ChatterBlock has compiled a list of some frighteningly fun time events that you will surely enjoy!
The spirits of Ottawa’s Arts Community will come out to haunt with community leaders, business members and supporters at the annual ARTinis event Linger in the land of wandering souls, while enjoying decadent food and sinful drinks prepared temptingly by some of Ottawa’s finest caterers. There will also be a costume contest at the event, so get creative! *Please note, this event is for a more mature crowd.

Shenkman Arts Centre
To celebrate the harvest, join us at the Museum for Thanksgiving Weekend where you will be able to learn how simple and easy it is to prepare heart healthy soup made with corn, squash and beans - known as the Three Sisters. The aboriginal legend of the Three Sisters will be told in our demonstration kitchen and an indigenous chef will feature an Algonquin cuisine workshop in the Learning Centre. Your kids will have fun exploring several pumpkin varieties and learning about the pumpkin’s life cycle. Children are invited to get creative with a fall themed craft and play with a corn filled sensory bin. Other activities include apple cider making as well as livestock-related demonstrations.

Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum
Cannamore Orchard welcomes you to their 24th year of The Spooky Wagon Ride™. The Spooky Wagon Ride @ Cannamore Orchard is the only Halloween experience in the Ottawa Valley area that won’t charge you an arm or a leg, rather they do promise a REAL spooky experience. With approximately 50 human actors ready to scare you at any given time! Will you leave the Orchard with all your arms and legs?!
The wagon tours travel through the orchard and woods, and are narrated by a Cannamore Witch or Warlock. The ghouls will thrill you as they present Halloween related scenes, involving witches, flying monsters, body snatchers and more. Rides for the brave run after dark but for the little ones there are weekend afternoon rides too. The ride is definitely for those 10 and older but you are the judge!

On the night of June 21, 1994, a group of scientists gathered in the depths of the Diefenbunker in the hopes of making the latest scientific breakthrough. The terrifying event that happened next has never been disclosed to the public – until now – 20 years later. Using the latest in time-travel technology, you will journey back and discover the bunker’s most shocking secret.
This Halloween season, the Diefenbunker will once again partner with The Haunted Walk of Ottawa to present, Incident at the Bunker: A Zombie Adventure. Guests will be led on an interactive adventure with the undead, deep inside the labyrinth that is the Cold War Museum. This unique Halloween experience is a perfect combination of storytelling, interactive challenges, unexpected surprises and of course…zombies.
Tours last 60-75 minutes, various start times

Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum
Trick or Treat with the Mayor provides safe Halloween fun for everyone, and is a wonderful opportunity for local families to help others by donating essential food and supplies to the Baby Basics.
Trick or treat with the Mayor and your favourite costumed characters in Jean Pigott Place, and visit the spooky witches’ den in Andrew S. Haydon Hall. The excitement continues outside on Marion Dewar Plaza where children can decorate their own miniature pumpkin in the outdoor pumpkin patch and ride the Giant Tiger train.
Admission to this Halloween party is a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank’s Baby Basics.

Ottawa City Hall
GNAG will be hosting its annual Halloween Party on Oct 30. This fun and fantastic event welcomes people of all ages. There will be carnival candy, fortune telling, fishing pond (treasure), cookie decorating, face painting, an original Halloween skit, bouncy castle, preschool craft, and for the very brave a scary haunted house, or kinder fun house.

Glebe Community Centre
Bring the whole family out to the Rideau Hall for a Halloween celebration. Everyone is welcome to explore the visitor's centre, which will be transformed creatively into a haunted house. for FREE. Scary stuff!
