The West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta is one of the most anticipated fall events in the Northwest! Each year people come from all over to watch the spectacle of costumed characters paddling 1,000 pound pumpkins in a series of wacky races across the Lake of the Commons. The Regatta is a free event that also includes pumpkin golf, pumpkin bowling, a giant pumpkin weigh off, entertainment, food, and much more.

The Oregon zoo provides a fun and safe setting for costumed trick-or-treaters to learn about wildlife in a fun scavenger hunt throughout the zoo. Howloween is as fun as it is educational. Kids will learn about animals from around the world and their habitats through fun activities. There will be treats and prizes to be won at the different stations!

This is another family favourite Halloween event hosted by the Oregon Zoo. On October 18, the zoo's largest animals will demolish Portland's largest pumpkins. This event always generates a lot of laughs.

Celebrate Halloween at the Audubon Society of Portland as you learn all about the creatures of the night! Come face-to-face with Portland Audubon’s Great Horned Owl, Turkey Vulture, and Raven. Enjoy crafts, learning stations, and a naturalist-led night walk that will investigate the creatures that haunt the Portland Audubon sanctuary at night.
This is a FREE family-friendly event, but night hikes are first come first serve, so get there early to sign up for a spot.

Dress in costume for an afternoon of Halloween fun at World of Speed! Join their costume parade, explore the haunted auto shop, race pumpkins in the Great Pumpkin Race, and make your own “Trunk-or-Treat” bags for gathering treats and prizes throughout the galleries.

Get ready to scream. Fearlandia Haunted House is back for another year with terrifying attractions, monsters, maniacs, and creepy crawlies. Fearlandia opens on October 5 and runs on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until November 2.
Fearlandia is recommended for ages 13 and older. For those wanting a less scary experience, Fearlandia is hosting a Not as Scary Day on Sunday, October 20 for families. There will be kid-friendly monsters and more light.

Portland Aerial Tram is hosting Halloween activities for families from 11am to 3pm on October 26. You can also take a ride on the Tram and enjoy amazing views of the city and the mountains beyond. Kids and under ride the Tram for free with a fare-paying adult. This is a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience.

This event is open to Halloween lovers of all ages! Carve a pumpkin alongside professional pumpkin carvers who are competing in a carving challenge. You will get to vote for your favourite pumpkin. Other festivities include a pumpkin patch, a kids' Halloween movie (Hotel Transylvania), and cider pressing. There will also be caramel apples, pizza, and popcorn.
