This Halloween Portland Children's Museum has some really nice events planned up for kids. Below is the list and details of these events-
Kick-off a green Halloween season at Portland Children’s Museum at children’s costume swap! Museum guests and members are invited to donate their gently used children’s Halloween costumes, costume pieces and accessories, and exchange them for costumes donated by others.

Treat your family to a playful, festive, and not-so-scary day of Halloween fun at Portland Children’s Museum!
Dress up and Trick or Treat at the Museum. Show off those costumes, and participate in some hair-raising activities, including clay pumpkin patch, bag decorating and goo.

Dress up in your costume and join in a Halloween quest around the Museum. Trick-or-treat to each exhibit area to do a spookily cute art project or slimy sensory experience, watch a puppet show, feed carnivorous plants, and more. Museum staff will also be handing out candy-free goodies like glow sticks, hand-made Halloween buttons, and toys for a perfectly marvelous sugar-free Halloween that everyone can enjoy!

The West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta is one of the most anticipated fall events in the Northwest! Each year people come from all over to watch the spectacle of costumed characters paddling 1,000 pound pumpkins in a series of wacky races across the Lake of the Commons. The Regatta is a free event that also includes pumpkin golf, pumpkin bowling, giant pumpkin weigh off, entertainment, food, and much more.

The Oregon zoo provides a fun and safe setting for this Halloween tradition, where costumed trick-or-treaters learn about wildlife in a fun scavenger hunt throughout the zoo.
Presented by In keeping with the zoo's mission, Howloween aims to be educational as well as fun. Scavenger hunts and activities are themed to teach kids about animals around the world, and their habitats and adaptations. Kids can collect treats & prizes at the different stations.

Celebrate Halloween at the Audubon Society of Portland as you learn all about the creatures of the night! Come face-to-face with Portland Audubon’s Great Horned Owl, Turkey Vulture, and Raven. Enjoy crafts, learning stations, and a naturalist-led night walk that will investigate the creatures that haunt the Portland Audubon sanctuary at night.
This is a FREE family-friendly event but you will need to reserve a spot on the night walk through Audubon’s sanctuary. Space is limited for the night walks so be sure to register early!

Silly Scarecrow's Farm Harvest
Penny's Puppet Productions is a professional one-woman puppet company. Penny's live performances use puppets, story, and song to inspire and entertain children of all ages.
Silly Scully the Scarecrow is excited to welcome the fall harvest to his farm. Join the talking fruits and vegetables as they celebrate the season. Appi the Apple will rap about her nutritious delights. The Corn Sisters pop in for some fun and there is sure to be a chase scene when Stinky the Skunk tries to join the merriment. Joking, singing, dancing and fall harvest fun are sure to enthrall young and old.

Dress to impress for this Halloween crafting event! For $10 make any Halloween-themed craft (haunted house, cat, or pumpkin), plus make a mask to match your costume for free! Enjoy a sweet treat while you’re there.
