Pumpkins, leaves, bundling up, and of course hitting up some of the scariest events of the year!

Ok, maybe not the scary ones (depending on how old your kiddos are). But regardless of age, there's some awesome events to get in the Halloween spirit throughout the month, guaranteed for a frighteningly fun time.

1. Halloween Howl at Manitoba Children's Museum 


Want a night of Halloween DELIGHT? Then join the Halloween Howl for fangtastic family entertainment at the Annual Halloween Howl! Safely trick-or-treat in 12 indoor ghastly galleries, participate in spooktacular activities, make creepy crafts, and have some ghoulish fun!

2. Double Double Toil & Trouble Kids Halloween Party


Come out to the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain to celebrate Halloween a little early this year. Bring the kids, wear a costume (only if you want), and enjoy the games, contests, prizes, dancing, bouncy gym and crafts. Rumour has it there will also be a photobooth and petting zoo at the event. Sounds like a spooky good time!

3. Spooky Dash - MEC Race


Expecting to eat a lot of Halloween candy this year, why not run it off as an entire family? The Spooky dash is a family-friendly events where racers can run 3K, 5K, or even a 10K race at beautiful Assiniboine Park. Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 on the day of, and free for children under the age of 4!

4. Haunted Fores at A Maze in Corn


Halloween is an exciting time of year here at the corn maze! The maze is golden in colour and rustles in the wind leading you to believe there is something out there. The Haunted Forest begins to moan and groan as the creatures of the Forest come alive to feast on the fall visitors. Enter at your own risk, as the forest will reach out to get your screams. A resident creature will lure you in with their haunting humour. Once in the Forest, there is no guarantee what will happen. Come prepared to be scared!

If this sounds too scary for your little one, visit during the day, there's still plenty of fun to be had.

5. Halloween Family Fun Night

Head to Park City West Community Centre this year to celebrate in style with entertainment and fun for everyone. This year there will be a magic show, special guests and free popcorn, crafts, and treats for all those who pay admission ($5). Children 2 and under are FREE.

6. Halloween at the Hill

This year, wear your costume and get ready for a spooktacular night hike at Halloween at the Hill. There will be face painting, a campfire, crafts, and a haunted forest. To sweeten the deal, the event is FREE! However, for a small fee, Birds Hill Park is also offering up spooky hay rides.
