Outdoor Movie Schedule in Victoria

FREE outdoor movies in and around Greater Victoria, updated for 2018! Bring a blanket or lawn chair and take in one of these movies in the great outdoors. All movies begin at dusk, at different locations across the city.

Over the past few years there has been a huge surge in demand for outdoor movies, and it's no wonder, what a perfect way to spend an evening! A movie surrounded by stars? Yes puh-lease!

Bring a blanket and lawn chair, sit back, and take in one of the shows with friends and family.

Admission is free to all movies, but seating is on a first come first served basis. Make sure you show up early to get a good spot!

BONUS: All movies at Bullen Park have free kid-friendly entertainment planned starting 1 hour before the show begins, and also have a concession available thanks to the Esquimalt Lions Club. All proceeds support services in the community.

Wednesday, July 11th – Wonder Woman


Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Wednesday, July 25th – The Lego Batman Movie


There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker's (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.

Friday, July 27th – Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Friday, Aug 3rd – Babe

Moving in from Chicago, newcomer Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon) is in shock when he discovers the small Midwestern town he now calls home has made dancing and rock music illegal. As he struggles to fit in, Ren faces an uphill battle to change things. With the help of his new friend, Willard Hewitt (Christopher Penn), and defiant teen Ariel Moore (Lori Singer), he might loosen up this conservative town. But Ariel's influential father, Reverend Shaw Moore (John Lithgow), stands in the way.

After witnessing a Mafia murder, slick saxophone player Joe (Tony Curtis) and his long-suffering buddy, Jerry (Jack Lemmon), improvise a quick plan to escape from Chicago with their lives. While Joe pretends to be a millionaire to win the band's sexy singer, Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), Jerry finds himself pursued by a real millionaire (Joe E. Brown) as things heat up and the mobsters close in.

Tale about a fictional relationship between William Shakespeare and a young woman who poses as a man in order to star in one of the writer's plays. He soon finds inspiration in the form of a beautiful female aristocrat, but her daring determination to act in his play puts their already forbidden relationship on even more dangerous ground.

Thursday, August 16th – Star Wars: The Last Jedi


Luke Skywalker's peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he encounters Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force. Her desire to learn the ways of the Jedi forces Luke to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren and General Hux lead the First Order in an all-out assault against Leia and the Resistance for supremacy of the galaxy.

Friday, August 17th – Planet of the Apes


The film tells the story of an astronaut crew who crash-lands on a strange planet in the distant future. Although the planet appears desolate at first, the surviving crew members stumble upon a society in which apes have evolved into creatures with human-like intelligence and speech. The apes have assumed the role of the dominant species and humans are mute creatures wearing animal skins.

Saturday, August 18th – Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone


Adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling's popular children's novels about Harry Potter, a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents' mysterious deaths.

Saturday, August 18th – The Sandlot


When Scottie Smalls (Thomas Guiry) moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence.

Free to attend, but proceeds from food or the 50/50 draw go towards building an indoor training facility. There will be a full concession available and Central Saanich Lions BBQ before the movie starts!

Wednesday, August 22nd – Trolls


After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Their mission is full of adventure and mishaps, as this mismatched duo try to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done.
