Outdoor Movie Schedule in Vancouver

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and take in one of these movies in the great outdoors. All movies begin at dusk, with some pre-movie activities! Here is a schedule of upcoming outdoor shows:

2019 Outdoor Movies in Vancouver


Over the past few years there has been a huge surge in demand for outdoor movies. This year, some venues have added on some pre-movie activities to tie you over until showtime.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, sit back, and take in one of these shows.

All shows begin at dusk, so starting times will vary.



Evo Outdoor Cinema Movie Series at Stanley Park

Movies are shown every Tuesday night in July and August (weather permitting) at Second Beach in Stanley Park. All movies start after Sunset. Please come early for best lawn seating selection.

Tuesday, July 16th - Shrek

Tuesday, July 23rd - Sleepless in Seattle

Tuesday, July 30th - Moulin Rouge!

Family Movie Nights in The Plaza - Civic Plaza, North Van

Movies in the Plaza bring hundreds of families into Civic Plaza to enjoy an outdoor summer movie experience and an evening of free family fun. The movies are shown on a big outdoor screen at sunset. 

They recommend that you bring your own chair or blanket and arrive early! Before the movie begins you can enjoy Civic Plaza and the community toy box or visit the library.

Prospera Cinema Under the Stars

Bring the family and take in a free flick on a 3-storey high big screen. Movie starts at dusk. The movie is on us, but since this night is about families, they will be taking donations on behalf of a local charity. 

You are welcome to arrive between 5:00PM and dusk to participate in a variety of family activities before the movie starts rolling.
